I just took a couple of pinches of Toque Quit and as it is said to be high in nicotine it rewoke a memory from my past. I had a friend from Tunis then and he told me that in his homecountry the old men snuffed pure nicotine chrystals for enjoyment and that it was for sale in tobaccoshops over there. Now I wonder if my friend was pulling my leg or if he had mistaken the whole thing and confused snuff and n.chrystals? Does anyone know more about this?

I don’t buy that because some people vape 36-48mg/ml eliquid. 50mg/ml is where I start wearing nitrile gloves when I’m mixing up juice.

Well, I think he must have ment snuff as we know it or those men must have been serious snuffers with a death wish, ha ha!

They were prolly using a snuff similar to some of the Indian whites and called it a “crystal” or best translation…just my guess…

Pure nicotine crystals in weak snuff will still kill you. Fast. Also unless you have access to a laboratory, that would be pretty hard to acquire. A very tiny amount is a lethal dose. Tunisians and other north Africans have a snuff culture. Berbers tend to make their own, but I think those countries have a state run monopoly that makes snuff. Try Neffa Ifrikia by Sifaco and you will have something of a similar nature. Its made in Belgium, but by and for the North African expatriot community in Europe. Its also yellowish and moderately fine ground. Quite strong and pretty good.

Thanks for the warning @Xander and for the tip about Neffa Ifrikia. I will most certainly try it some time as I’m interested in foreign snuffculture as well as our European. Now I took a couple of steady pinches of Quit again and I’m happy it wasn’t pure n.chrystals as it is good as it is, he he!
