Snerfs, or snuff gatherings

Pipe lovers have pipe clubs, where they gather to buy/sell/trade/share pipes and tobacco and socialize with kindred spirits, and sometimes reps from tobacco companies will drop in to get feedback on new blends before they go to market. Cigar fans have herfs, which are usually a bit more informal, but still involve sharing, trading and generally discussing cigars and other topics of mutual interest. From what I have read, the word “herf” was coined in a cigar internet newsgroup in the 90s and has since been widely adopted by the cigar community, who organize herfs in private homes as well as cigar lounges. What I wonder is if there is a similar kind of social gathering for snuff lovers. I’ve coined “snerf” as a variant of “herf” because I imagine a snuff gathering to have more of the informality of a herf, rather than the club structure of president, treasurer, rules etc. So, do connoisseur snuffers get together to share, trade, talk, introduce new blends, and so forth, or are we more introverted/antisocial than the cigar and pipe scene?

I am very new to snuff but I smoke pipes and cigars. It is fun to get together with liked minded people. I would think that it would be harder with snuff, however, at least where I am in the U.S. as there are few people that seem interested in snuff.

I would get together with other snuff takers, but I can’t necessarily fly internationally nor drive, let’s say more than an hour, to do so. That’s why this virtual world serves so well as a 24/7/365 social gathering of snuff takers. I get to shoot the shit, but don’t have to have any of yalls nubby little fingers and thumbs digging in my snuff box. Anyone in Dayton, Ohio who wants to have a drink and take; hit me up and I’ll meet you at the White Sail Inn. We’ll be a coterie of takers, based on the prairie dog; a cute little animal that lives underground in dirt (dirt serving as somewhat of a metaphor for snuff).
