Smith and Sons Cafe Royale

I just tried to order a couple of tins of this from McGaheys tobacconist and was told they didn’t have any stock and didn’t know when or if more would come in. Any one know if this is a dead snuff now?

David, if you can’t get hold of Cafe Royale, you can mix your own!!! I have the real McCoy, plus I mix my own. No difference except for the price. The mix is MUCH cheaper.

Thanks Pieter, I have some SG Black coffee on the way, but dont you also need Tia maria? Or something like that? I couldnt find it in my usual place (my smoking shop). Annoying thing is I threw away a full unopened tin when I sort of quite snuffing 18 months ago. Along with, shock horror, a couple of samples of Spanish Jewel. Oh how I regret it now!!

David, can’t you go and look for the SJ anymore!!! Yes, the Cafe Royale is Black Coffee and Tia Maria. See whether mrSnuff’s got some in stock. Snuff Store sells Cafe Noir which is also very nice and at a good price.

This is still one of those elusive Snuffs that I’ve almost given up hope of trying. (On this side of the pond, anyway.)

I think it is overrated, and way to expensive, try S G Black Coffee, and if you like some G H Tia Maria, I think it was me who fount this mixture works. Or, as Pieter has said: Cafe Noir, from Snuffshop UK, is almost the same thing, and they do ship to the USA.

Its overrated and not a very pleasant snuff imo. I once ordered to large tins and I still have one left - I simply dont like the stuff! Bad coffee and not very interesting tobacco base… sorry CR fans. Nothing personal but I think it sux.

Mopey> Ive got a full tin except for a few pinches. If you’re interested I’ll be happy to pass it on, as I will never finish the tin anyway. Whisper me back if yes.
