Sir Walter Scott's Pontefract Priory

You’ve likely figured out by now that I’m not shy about expressing my thoughts on snuff. If you haven’t tried this snuff, you have no idea what you’re missing. I know, licorice is a “love it or hate it” thing. Even if you aren’t of fan of licorice you owe it to yourself to give this a go. The balance in the scent, the impeccable tobacco bill and the mastery of cavendish and raw sugar make this snuff a necessity in a lady’s or gentleman’s collection. I will happily share my diminishing stash with anyone with doubts. You pay the freight and I’ll send you a taste. You have to promise not to buy all of it and leave me high and dry and righteously pissed. Cheers PS Try it with some strong, freshly brewed Assam tea with a splash of milk and a bit of Muscovado sugar, dosed with a nice tot of Glenmorangie. Sublime during a spring storm

@chefdaniel - You’re not wrong bud; I hate to the use the words "best yet’ for @johnny 's snuffs, but yet again this snuff has well exceeded my expectations

I’m sold!!! It goes on my forthcoming order from Mr Snuff!

You won’t regret this one. Reminds me of the days when there was a candy store on each street corner here with lovely licorice aromas. And the cavendish reminds me of the gentleman around with a smelly pipe.

I love licorice/anise flavors. I have some of this coming in my next order from Mr Snuff. Glad it has Chef Daniel’s sniff of approval

You won’t regret this snuff, imho. The way the cavendish and licorice play off each other is a rare treat

in my nascent snuffing experience, your Old Mill and Sir Walter Scotts are far and away my favorites. I’ve been lucky enough to have a wonderful sampling of your Old Mills and they are sensational. Complex, interesting and highly satisfying.

Today I’m dipping further into Calypso and Noisette!
