Ladies and Gents. I have a new snuff which has been maturing for several months and which I hope to have at the MrSnuff warehouse by the end of the week. Moro Moro is a moist, demi-gros blend of Rustica, Burley and high nicotine Bright leaf Virginia. It has been flavoured with bergamot, angelica and a few other spices, and then sauced with a liqueur made with the zest of bitter blood oranges - hence the name. The purpose of the flavouring and saucing has been to amplify the natural sweetness of the tobaccos, rather than create an orange flavoured snuff. Johnny

I know what I getting for my Xmas gift

M

lol, basement_shaman, if ‘santa’ doesn’t use it all first: “Then laying a finger upside his nose with a nod up the chimney he goes”

F

will the base be similar to your other offerings?

A

I was fortunate enough to get a sample of Moro Moro and it has a moist, coarse flour that has a very light, springy texture to it, easy and pleasant to pinch. The flavour is unique; rich, sweet, dark and very deep with lasting presence in the nose and with a nicotine dose that is extremely satisfying. Yet another SWS snuff that could have competed on equal terms with anything made at the original Fribourg’s on the Haymarket. Elegant, authentic class.

J

Firestarter0 - there isn’t a “base” tobacco as such, each blend is entirely different, but so far, all do have a proportion of Rustica . Johnny

F

that is interesting, because all your darker snuffs cause a terrible drip for me that means i cant use your snuffs, and i can use other rustica snuffs like abraxas (though the abraxas premiums give me a drip, its not as bad as the SWS). i wonder what it is, because scent-wise your snuffs are incredible.

N

I’m champing at the bit for this one!

J

@MrSnuff How about a sampler of the Artisan line up. Maybe 15gm tins. Would like to try them all myself.

T

When I went to mrsnuff.com it stated that it was a test site and no order would be processed. What gives?

the url you used, mrsnuff.com, is a test site. The working site is mistersnuff.com

J

Wow the test site looks pretty slick. I like it.

M

For some reason the banner ad on the left goes to the test site, Mrsnuff.com

The banner ad went to mrsnuff, and mrsnuff was diverting to mistersnuff which is the operational store. Now mrsnuff is no longer diverting and is the test site. I’d suggest the banner ads need directing to mistersnuff until Dave’s ready to go live with the new store, unless he can run the beta version in the background and have the home page redirect to mistersnuff

=)) … I tried

F

hold on… a spicy orange snuff, meant for release round december… are you sure this wasnt a christmas snuff that didnt have the flavours you wanted, hence the line- ‘The purpose of the flavouring and saucing has been to amplify the natural sweetness of the tobaccos, rather than create an orange flavoured snuff.’

J

Sounds like it may be more of a snuff meant to re-create Seville. Which is fine by me.

B

@tboyer try mistersnuff

J

https://mistersnuff.com/

J

Well, if Johnny ever makes a “mistake” I will be first in line to try it.

F

i was joking haha, i find it a great coincidence all the best things are mistakes.

lol,I would like to try a sws crazy George though.

F

now that might be interesting enough for me to try some, just to smell it. i find it a great disappointment i cant use dark SWS snuffs because i love the scents.

N

The Moro Moro is still not showing up on MrSnuff for ordering yet. How slowly the wheels of MrSnuff turn …

Preach it, brother!

J

Y weight? I just printed some from my CubeX Excellant!!! Tastes just like burnt plastic with hints of orange

N

Just grabbed 2 50g tins myself Im a happy boy!

F

Just ordered 3 tins. I am very eager to try Moro Moro. The Sir Walter Scott brand includes some of the highest quality snuffs in the world, imho. I am especially fond of Auld Alliance, Creme de Figue, Mull of Oa, and Lundy Foot, in that order. For whatever it’s worth, it is my second favorite brand, after Abraxas. Thank you Johnny!

N

Has anyone else received their tins(s) of Moro Moro yet? What do you think? Just had some nice big pinches myself & it is to me the smoothest snuff I have taken.

Still waiting but hopefully today or tomorrow. Can’t wait to try it!

M

Mine arrived yesterday and I’ve been dipping into it with relish (but no mustard). Good stuff!

F

Got mine today. It is truly an excellent snuff with a wonderful array of “flavors” and scents. Very well done, Johnny! Another great accomplishment!

B

Well you got me sold. Just placed another snuff order ,You can never have enough :))

G

This is the one I am REALLY looking forward to— soon, soon…

So many things these days are dubbed “artisan” or hand-crafted and what have you… But, when you sample them, you are usually disappointed in finding that they are the same dull thing, usually made (sorry, “crafted”) by the same corporation that sells the national brand(s), just perhaps in a different package — you get my drift… Anyhow, that is NOT the case with Johnny’s SWS snuffs— all 3 I’ve tried (received samples today from @lunecat ) are a wondrous experience. They deserve the title “artisan” and you can taste the labor of love in them. Some of you asked why I’d do the book thing I posted— easily answered-- I truly like what I’ve found in the snuff community-- true traditions and taste-- not plastic and false-- I also admire the barter and sample ethos – so, I like that about snuff takers and millers. Genuine. Johnny does wonders with these— everyone should at least try them-- worth it-- GENUINE hand crafted tobacco genius. For reviews on what they taste like and so on, read earlier reviews I’m not the expert in comparisons just yet and won’t pretend otherwise

This is a masterpiece artisan snuff. A delightfully refreshing pick me up any time of day and it doesn’t get tired through repeated snuffs.

Another candidate for a large tin!
