Silly Question

T

Since I am still a relativly new snuffer(2 months)I still get to ask dumb questions so here it is. Why do some lesser flavors(and more potent flavors)seem to come more alive when outside? I am under the impression that the cold, clean Michigan air has something to do with it. I do notice a big difference between outside and inside…any thoughts? The Wiz!

T

Probably air circulation. When you are outside, you have fresh air blowing everywhere, and inside, it’s just stale non blowing air.

O

Good morning Wiz I’d seen those references as well. Hadn’t given it much thought until yesterday when I tried the Poschl Gawith Apricot. All I got was menthol, disappointing. 'bout 15 minutes later I went outside and low and behold, apricot! PFM I think

T

@ Wiz: don’t worry, we’ve all been newbies and all noticed the same thing at some stage. I Tom is right, it’s the fresh air circulating freely that stimulates the scent. I find it most noticeable with menthols, but it works with pretty much any flavour.

R

To get the complete kick try it in a shopping mall in the winter season. 3 pinches are just enough and then, after about an hour go outside. It´s a flavour explosion. Humidity plays a big part.

I

@Red Star I would agree the humidity plays as much of a part as the wind circulation. I noticed this with Tube Rose, it was really neat the first time and now i just expect it, the smaller things about snuff and sometimes the best.

This phenomenon is great. I think it’s a matter of conditioning like when you go into a foul smelling place and after a while you don’t notice the smell anymore. Change the environment and you change the way you interpret the snuff. Sometimes I use snuff for this purpose alone. In fact, I’m going to do that in a little while. Thanks!

T

@the wiz Yea i notice this too, sometimes i’ll take a great big snuff and just stick my head out the door for a min or two. My wife laughs at me and thinks im crazy! but it really intenses the smell of the snuff by a million. lol One pretty cool days we will open all the windows in the house and i get the same effect your talking about. So try it, open a few windows to get to air circulating and Im sure it will work for you too oh yea another little trick is after a couple of mins when the snuff seems to be wearing off give the old nose a good rub and squeeze it together and BAMM a rebirth! lol

T

@thehookster…Just stuck my nose out the door…It’s crisp and 35 degrees outside. What a difference!! The Wiz!

I escpecially enjoy going for walks on humid nights after snuffing. I didn’t really get the full appreciation for some of the more earthy snuffs like Kendall Brown and such until I stepped outside. Try loading up on some McChrystals Clove and stepping into a crowded elevator. You’ll get a lot of looks and notice people sniffing the air.

T

@spyro lol yea once I was at work and someone walked up to the driver side window of the truck I was in and said, Mann it smells minty in there! What kind of air freshener you have i like it? lol -that day I was snuffing McC supermint lol And sometimes people ask if I have been using a vicks inhaler or some ben gay or icey hot rub? lol “no its just McC O&G or poschl red bull” i reply. Then I usually try to get them to have a pinch.

S

@thehookster, yeah I was surprised the first time that happened to me. I think I was using Red Bull at a job once and someone across the room asked where the smell was coming from. Snuff could really liven up an Eskimo greeting I suppose.

L

I like to take a big toot of the strong stuff right before I clean up the dog papers in the laundry room. Makes for a much more pleasant experience.

M

i love taking a snuff and walking out into the cold outside air. smells fantastic.

J

I can vouch that good Michigan air is ripe for the snuffing!
