I’m wondering if snuff needs to be teated like cigars, with humidification (like a Boveda pack) to keep them fresh. I’m thinking a tupperware container or ziploc bag.
Thanks!

Metal+humidity=rust
You can use tupperware or ziploc bag or a box etc.but away from humidity, heat, sunlight…
Best is smallest air tight glass jars to avoid air exposure. Avoid sudden changes in heat and store in a dark place. No need for humidification unless you want to make dry snuff moister. I don’t mind a well season gar that has a cedar undertone but I don’t thing I want all my snuff to smell the same. Keep menthol’s & medicated in a separate storage container to avoid cross contamination. If you not planning on having a large collection my advice is buy a snuff and use it up. If you find you want to save for future use; invest in glass jars. I had great results decanting in 2 oz [60cc] Packer bottles hold a little over 25 grams.
some like amber i like cobalt blue.
The Cadillac of snuff containment. Specialty Bottle Seattle or in Nashville USA Really like they have the foam cap liner and perfect sizes.
Thanks for the replies. Yes, I’ll definitely keep them separate like I do with latakia, aromatic, and Va pipe tobaccos. I’ll likely have a lot open at once when I receive my order. I don’t think I’ll be able to just go through one, then on to the next.
@tobaccobob , not all metals rust, but I doubt stainless steel or titanium containers would be reasonably cheap in large numbers @basement_shaman I still find that the old classic transparent plastic kitchen wrap foil il the best and cheapest method which totally eliminates any danger of humidity variation or crosscontamination if used generously, on tins both opened and unopened and also other containers used for long term storage. I’ve been using it for years on my pipe tobaccos and although it doesn’t look pretty it does the best job.
@Gilliat I use it on glass jars with questionable lids .I had mason jar lids rust so I do not trust. I think it be a pain to rap every time you want to access. Jars are convenient sure they are not dirt cheap but they do add style.
I keep some snuffs in my humidor. They can take on the delightful cedar scent.
Some times with the small 5g and 10g tins, I’ll just put the tin in a ziplock bag. On larger amounts I’ll decant into a glass jar
