Hi guys, I’m new to snuff, and I ordered some from MrSnuff, which is based in Europe (I’m in the States). *Sidenote: How many of you guys buy from MrSnuff? Is it a good supplier?* It took a couple weeks for my stuff to arrive after I ordered it, and I’m worried that the shipping process/length of travel could have hurt its potency/freshness, mainly with regard to the nicotine levels. My Taxi Red wasn’t even sealed, the rubber lid flipped right off. I imagine my package went through quite a bit as it jumped the Atlantic; it was probably exposed to a lot of things, mainly excessive heat. So I’m wondering what it takes to hurt the potency/freshness of snuff, in particular the nicotine levels? Also, what’s a good way to store excess snuff so as to preserve freshness? cannot talk to freshness from overseas, but preservation of freshness once in hand has to be glass canning jars for your snuff.

The only way to guarantee freshness is to order directly from the manufacturer ( which sadly isn’t possible for many manufacturers) even if you lived right beside Mr. Snuffs warehouse your snuff is not guarenteed to be fresh because god only knows how long it had been sitting in the warehouse.

Where do you guys (and most people who use snuff) get their snuff?

Mr. Snuff and Toquesnuff. You don’t have to worry about heat crossing the pond, it is sent by air. I would think that it is fine. As far as the nic. try it and see but I doubt that it is hurt. Just as snuffysmiff said, glass jars are the key to keeping it now that you have it. Mr. Snuff is a great vendor, no worries at all there, by the way.
