Once opened, how long would you trust your snuff to one of these tins?
I can’t give you an exact time frame, but my experience is that they close up pretty tightly. I have a couple of tins that have been open for several months with no noticeable drying out. Of course, the longevity will depend on how often you open them, as you are letting moisture escape every time you take the lid off.
For the most part they seal pretty well after the vacuum has been cracked but I have had a couple that just didn’t seal well and started to dry out rather quickly
Not long, better safe than sorry, I jar all snuffs.
You can’t go wrong if you do that.
So far I’ve only used the amber colored ones, but would colorless be just as good? Suppose they could be placed in a dark cupboard but need one bother, as long as they’re not in direct sunlight?
Samuel Gawith vacuum sealed tins are great for constant use, I keep my bulk snuff in them(and F&T tins) on their way to daily use.
