I’ve been working on a book for my son. He is only a year old so I have plenty of time to “finish”. In this book, I’m writing advice and wisdom that I have learned throughout my short life. Some topics I’ve briefly covered are interpersonal relationships, work advice, sex, drugs, and a few various other arbitrary topics. I just write them down as they occur to me. I am hoping others would be willing to help me out, so I am starting this thread for people to post about life lessons, priorities, advice, or general topics that a man should know about. A good number of my entries are in story form, others are more straightforward snippets. Thanks to everyone that contributes.
sure I can drop some wisdom.

@Nietzsche_Keen Always open your Swisher tubes right side up and don’t let your Dad near your snuff collection… He’s known around these parts to be pretty into it haha! hey, I have done this exact thing for my son as well-- glad to hear someone else is doing such a thing… very neat.
Just because the majority believes something is right, does not make is so. People as a whole are easily fooled. The greatest men in history were at one time considered rebels and heretics. Always hold true to what you believe is right and do not be silent.
“Beware, if you happen to be travelling on the roof of a coach, or in one of the railroad omnibusses, of pulling out your box, for ten to one, some greasy, unwashed Goth or Vandal will ask you for a pinch of snuff, if he do not unceremoniously thrust his filthy fingers into it before you can repel the intrusion. If you refuse, you are certain of abuse; and if you comply the reflection is anything but agreeable. Keep your box in your pocket if you wish to preserve your snuff uncontaminated; for by parading it you open the door to familiarity extremely difficult to repress.” –Snuffs and Snuff-takers p123.

Ah… When a man lies, he murders some part of the world. These are the pale deaths men miscall their lives. -Gerhardt

Pay attention to detail (the one great lesson I learned in the Army)— and DO sweat the small stuff-- cause if you do, the big stuff falls into place automatically

That sounds like a Jewish proverb I’d heard once. Don’t worry about the dollars, worry about the pennies and the dollars will fall into place.
Take heed to other people opinions, along your life you´ll change your point of view more than once and that´s not a bad thing.
