Seasonal snuffs- Winter

F

anyone have any good wintery snuffs? perhaps types to counter or complement certain aspects of winter?

I

WoS Winter Warmer seems a natural entry for this category.

W

Try a shmalzler

S

Bernards Frohes Fest is a good one. I believe it is a schmalzer . I get the scent of cinnamon , nutmeg , and chocolate.

H

As winter beckons my De Kralinsge Pompadour calls to me. It’s a lovely warm scent in cold weather.

K

Toque Christmas Pudding? Or their Camphor and Clove gives a lovely warm feeling the nose. Anything that’s flavoured with spices such as clove works well in the cold, or something lightly mentholated but nicely flavoured such as 6 Photo Kailash can give an intense ‘this is winter’ experience without freezing your sinuses! Maybe F&T HDT or something similer for that nice buttered toast/nutty flavour. It all depends on your preference really. Edit: You could check out this discussion from a few years ago for some ideas, though my tastes have changed considerably! http://snuffhouse.org/discussion/4456/which-snuff-for-the-cold-weather-uk

Pompadour!

I tend to go for florals more in Winter, F&T especially. Autumn I crave plain SPs more. No idea why.

B

I like heavier snuffs in the cooler weather, being fall I am hitting the schmalzler come the winter I be hitting the SG line but there is always room for toasts. And when the frozen winds begin to blow Abraxas firedrac , WoS chili chocolate, and Fubar Doolali Tap & Bohica get there chance to warm my nose

P

Bernard Weihnachtpris. One hell of a nice winter warmer.

F

I forgot about this thread, i think ill do ones for the other seasons when the time comes. as im here, ill add ones i enjoy now- Firedrac, Fichtennadel, CCC, A/P snuif, WoS apricot, Poschl apricot, F&T Bordeaux. i reckon id enjoy more coarse snuffs, but i just havent been able to place an order. WoS winter warmer i found really offensive haha.

I definitely like American Scotches in the cold weather. They, obviously, remind me of a warm fireplace with the smokiness they have. Also like Schmalzlers like @wiscsnuffer mentioned and coffee scented snuffs. Other than that an occasional menthol to perk me up.

P

@md363 American Scotches are definitely great in the cooler weather. However, since moving to Central Arizona this year, I feel as if I have lost sight of the concept of the great winter warmer due to the climate out here. However, I love them regardless of the season. But I certainly could see them as being quite pleasurable after a long day of shoveling snow.

T

I usualy prefer light snuff during winter and WoS apricot are the one I most often use

N

its more the mood that guide me, not the weather, seems that winter bring heavy fragrant snuffs on top of list most of time

M

Viking Dark, Bernard’s Wheinact and Fichtennadel, Xmas Pudding, Dr. Verey’s Medicated…
