Schmaltzler vs. Brasil

I happened to run into a fellow snuff enthusiast from Germany today, he speaks pretty good English but not perfect and he indicated to me that Brasil is a snuff type separate, from schmaltzlers or perhaps a sub-set type of schmaltzler. Is this the case? If so, then what are the other sub-types of schmaltzlers?

@Ivan I think the difference is that Brasil is a type of tobacco, whereas schmaltzlers are snuffs that have been processed in a particular way.

I agree with Justin. And I understand that schmalzlers are in fact made from brasil tobacco. The German wiki page for snuff even uses schmalzler and brasil as synonyms.
