Back in June I mailed a package of Dholakia White and FUBAR Doolali Tap to a member who not only has yet to mail me the agreed to NTSU Black, but also won’t respond to messages. He hasn’t been active here since around the time I mailed the package, though email notifications of messages aside, he obviously knows damned well he never sent me any snuff in return. I’m not too bothered about it, seeing as it wasn’t at all costly to mail the package to him, but in the future I’ll stick to dealing with people who have a reputation for being above board… I think there’s a thread on that somewhere. Anyway, once again just a little reminder that you need to be careful, as we’ve got a few people here who seem to have problems holding up their end of agreements. FWIW, I’m not sure what the policy is exactly when it comes to issues like this, so I haven’t identified the member I’m speaking about.
I don’t see any policy against it, but my opinion is that it wouldn’t be inappropriate to mention names about this issue. I think it’s good for us to know, and if there actually is a valid excuse that this person has, he could just explain himself and things could be cool again.
I think it would be appropriate to warn the other members of your experience and mention the person by name . That member can always defend himself and the members can make their own decision.
Considering how cheap snuff is, just makes it even more disappointing that someone would rip off a fellow member. Tobe has shown a lot of generosity to members of this forum, and doesn’t deserve to get skanked like this. I think it is right that forum members be warned of unscrupulous members and bad trades in order to minimise chances of more folks getting stung. Hopefully it may help prompt a resolution to this instance too.
It is really quite sad when someone does this. I believe we are a special group that shares a wonderful hobby… I believe that the majority of us are trustworthy. I think there is a list that people, have submitted names that are safe to trade with.
That sucks. Luckily snuff isn’t too expensive, but you are out the time and effort of sending that person snuff to get nothing in return. I’d say share the name up. That’s what happened a few months ago with a different user, and that seemed to help resolve issues from what I understand.
Of course, it’s possible that his first pinch of Doolali Tap was unwisely generous and it killed him.
Well, with it apparently being alright to provide the member’s name, the member is Mnzfam. Last time I spoke with him, in June, my snuff was going in the mail. @Psicko, I recall that earlier incident, but I don’t recall there being any resolution. As I remember it, the member in question never responded to the thread in which he was named, yet continues to post here.
@HR_pufnsnuff it’s disturbing yet comforting how many people liked that comment.
@Tobe It seems that the previous member in question and the current have had dealings before. I checked his messages. The prior discussion topic was made by an anonymous user. Perhaps the scammed was the scammer in that instance?
