Greatly saddened to see that Scotch Black was on the chopping block. What’s the closest thing out there to it that one can still get?  I like the SG Black Rappee but somehow it’s just a LITTLE BIT too coarse for me.  How’s Viking Black compare?  Any others to try?

There are a few similar but nothing that can truly replace it. Same goes for London Brown and Grousemoor. I am a huge fan of all the variations on the KB style snuffs, but in the end, nothing lasts… No need to mourn though, any crisis contains an opportunity… In this case, to explore new snuffs and keep an open mind !

Viking Black is very much different. The closest I have tried would most likely be Black Rappee as you had suggested.
