Greetings All: So I received a sample of this in an order recently and was curious as to what it might be. I looked around for comments and reviews but didn’t really find anything. Nothing over at snuffreviews and only a few passing comments here. Personally (and I’m nowhere near capable yet at describing my snuff experience) I could not make out a single scent (and there appears to be several). Being still relatively new at snuff taking I expect I would not necessarily hit all of what was going on in a snuff but I’m usually able to pick out the obvious notes. It wasn’t unpleasant by any stretch but I don’t think it would be a daily snuff for me either but still I’m curious. The only hint at what it might contain was in a brief comment here on the board of it being “floral”, which I might agree with but which “florals” escape me. Does anyone know the components in or history of this mixture?
Funnily enough I sampled Samuel Gawith Richt Kind for the first time this evening. Quite unusual. Fine grind, but fluffy and easy to take, with some burn. Very fruity, intially peach, raspberry, grassy, hint of spice and subtle menthol, perhaps some sweet cherry. A sweet snuff which reminds me of summer, fruit salads and peach blossom. I know nothing of the history or ingredients, my description is only based on what I can smell, but I recommend people try it. It may not be to everyones tastes though. I love it when snuff companies use cryptic names for blends, rather than stating the flavours.
I had a look on greens of leeds website as they carry this blend. The description given is as follows. ‘A light brown fluffy blend made from a combination of essences that still remain secret’. It also comes under their scented varieties. Simon
Thanks to both of you for the replies. @Simon - I missed the Greens of Leeds description when I was looking around but have to agree with it. It’s aptly put, even after my taking it a few more times, a secret in the nose!!
It is a snuff I don’t use that often, but is quite enjoyable when I do. Like you, a description of the flavor escapes me, but is a mix of floral and fruit in my nose. I can’t use it all day, but a few pinches here and there are great.
