Just wondering if any of you have tried the Samuel Gawith Apple or Peach snuff? If so, can you give it a give it a quick review. I’ve seen the peach for sale but only have seen the apple on the SG website. The peach is scented with menthol and the apple is just scented. Peach Snuff @ supermarket Peach Snuff @ Backy Shop
I’ve tried it. Honestly, I don’t care much for the SG snuffs I’ve tried. In front of me I have Mandarin, Apricot, Honey, Peach, Raspberry, and Banana. In my earnest opinion; If you’ve tried one of these, you’ve tried them all. Every single one of these snuffs seems to have an over the top sweetness to them. Once in a great while I can tolerate a pinch. As far as the peach in particular, it has the slight aroma of peach, but no menthol is detectable by me. I almost feel as if I’m snorting Splenda when I use this stuff. Their Honey is the worst. Have you ever tried bubble gum that has the artifical flavor of cotton candy to it? That’s exactly how the Honey smells. If you like super sweet, give this snuff a try. I find myself revisiting any one of these snuffs no more than once per month. You want peach snuff? Stick with Magnet Peach. Waaaay better IMHO.
WARNING Steer clear of tobaccosupermarket.com’s SG collection. I received two dusty old tins that had rusted in places and the cellophane had actually turned yellow. They have a lot of nerve selling this. Plus the tin they have pictured is 25 g. while they send 10g tins. Similar incidents have been reported on forum Yahoo forum. They should dump the lot and write it off instead of foisting it on the market as if it were fresh. I wonder if SG would end their franchise if they knew the score.
Well SG is switching over to the bernard style plastic containers. I know that the SG Irish ‘D’ Light, SG Black Coffee & SG Chocolate are some of my favorites. I have had a lot of SG snuffs and I don’t care for a lot of their scented menthol snuffs as they have a synthetic scent, but do enjoy their other offerings. Thanks for the info on the Peach Satyr, I was afraid it would be similar to the other scented menthols. Stitch, I wasn’t planning on buying through them but I did have a look and they must have changed because all the SG snuffs have the same size 10g tin pictured and say 10 gram in the description.
