This is an excellent snuff I got from Peterson’s tobacconist in Dublin yesterday and lads there told that’s it’s a new one. I didn’t take them too seriously because they don’t know too much about snuff, mixing Wilsons with Sam Gawith etc. But then didn’t find this snuff or equivalent SG anywhere and I wonder has anyone else stumbled on this? Snuff itself is Kendal Brown-probably blended- with mild menthol in large vacuum-sealed tin with ca. 25g content, usual struggle opening the lid but it was worth it. Tin is so large you can’t spill content when opening which is good. Extremely good and fresh with ammonia and everything. Pub people around enjoyed it as well. This is how snuff’d be sold!
“Pub people around enjoyed it as well. This is how snuff’d be sold!” Oh dear - taking snuff in an Irish pub is illegal under the 2002 Public Health Act. “The Department of Health, however, said that, because snuff is tobacco, snuff clubs should be taking their activities outside. “It is illegal to take nasal snuff in a pub or workplace,” a spokeswoman said, citing the 2002 Public Health Act which defines smoking a tobacco product as including “sniffing, chewing or sucking of such a product”. So there you have it. Taking snuff is (apparently) still smoking tobacco. To avoid subjecting passive smoking on other people you should whip outside in the rain for a pinch of your smokeless snuff tobacco. http://www.independent.ie/national-news/banned-smokers-caught-in-a-pinch-are-taking-to-snuff-993506.html
Yes I know that silly story nobody cares about, just a sad example of badly written laws here and there are many. Hope EU took over all legislation from our shysters.
