I just wanted to inform forum members that I just got my bulk order of Samual Gawith Kendal Brown Original from snuff.me.uk. The order was placed on Sunday, March 7 so it took almost exactly three weeks to arrive on my desk in the US, very well packaged and labeled “snuff tin” on the customs declaration. I’m very happy with the service: no hassles or screw ups, and came in almost exactly the time they suggested. I think cstokes4 had a similar good experience with snuff.me.uk shipping to the US, but please correct me if I’m wrong. I would definitely order again from snuff.me.uk. They had no problem taking my US credit card. The problem is, what to order next?

Jay and Jaime run a good shop. I would order either London Brown or Black Rappee. But that’s me. 3 weeks sounds about right. Most of the time is spent at the mill, having the snuff made to order.
What to order next LHB? From snuff.me.uk, bulk? That would be the SG Scotch of course (-; Strikes me as interesting. Samuel Gawith is the only product that is listed for bulk sale, actual drums. They seem to be the only vendor I’ve been able to find for SG Bulk that accepts CC purchases from the US. Just talking…

Well, my bulk buy of London Brown just arrived. Ordered from MSS on Sunday, that’s excellent service. The bulks I bought from Snuff.me.uk took about 13 days to arrive. I suspect MSS is now keeping bulk SG snuffs in stock whereas Snuff.me.uk is ordering from the factory when retail orders arrive.

Cob Dark is a bit perfumy for my taste. Is it supposed to be moist or rather dry?
It’s supposed to be moist, like the other coarse, dark SG snuffs.
Well, I need to rehydrate it then. Maybe that’s why I hate it so much.
Mine dried out too, but it was in pretty good shape when I first got it. I rehyrdated it and moved it to a better container. I think it uses the Kendal Brown base, so it should probably be about the same moiture content as that.
I’d agree with that. The colour and grind are the same. The sample tap box I got the other week needed a “spritz” of water to rehydrate it, after which it was fine.
I just received my SG KB original in bulk and I have to say this is the greatest KB i’ve ever had the pleasure of partaking of. fresh from the factory is sublimity itself. Thanks to snuff.me.uk.
