I put this new thread in general and not in marketplace , cause I wanted it to be seen by as many members as possible Has a sample exchange ever been done before? Sampling snuffs you haven’t tried before Kind of like a trade , but on a small sample basis It would also be a good way of seeing if certain snuff batches have changed ( heard a lot of that in the Dholokia products ) We could put samples in small plastic ziplock bags one member would exchange let’s say 5 samples of snuff ( that he or she hasn’t tried ) in exchange for the same from the other member. I think this would be beneficial, enabling you to make choices not solely based Upon reviews. Money spent wiser and more effectively. Members would list the samples they have available in a thread in the marketplace section and than other members would select from those samples and vice versa and than mail each other the samples DO YOU THINK IT WOULD WORK , would any1 participate ? It sounds like an interesting concept but I would see maybe a couple of problems (IMO) First would be folks that have packages gone through by customs (which I hear are tough) having samples in baggies might be a red light Second would be if you were trying to sell something as “Only a couple of pinches removed” it would be harder to sell with larger portions missing That is just my thoughts but everyone thinks relatively different Good Luck 
I think this is a good idea, people who don’t have a lot of snuff might want to trade a a whole tin of snuff for multiple samples.
For newbs I think its a good idea as long as you can get people to be honest about it as itpasses from one person to the next. This was brought up before for discussion and I don’t think it ever made it off the ground.
I have seen this work in other forums on numerous occasions. I see no reason why it would not work here. In fact, I think snuff is perfectly suited for this type of thing. I think there would have to be a separate box pass for this side of the Atlantic and the other though. I would certainly be in.
@fbones24 … Yes I had thought of doing this USA only … Cause cost shipping ain’t worth a few samples… A gram or 2 in each ziplock bag of 5 samples wouldn’t cost but 1.50 or less to mail within USA FIRST CLASS … Would fit into regular sized envelope… Let’s see the response we get on here… Hoping for the best…
@AANYCAARDS I think there should also be some guidelines about the amounts that have to be shipped and the way they are packaged. I think this could work though.

No, small samples are not a good way to like or dislike a snuff. Take Fubar toasted, first time I tried it I though ugh this is dirt. then I used it weeks later and it grew on me ; now I want to get bulk. I would had written it off if I just had a gram sample. Another example was Buzz . Grant it I was using Dholakia white that week, I used a gaggle of it and didn’t get it,weeks later tried it again and discovered a different snuff experience . So love or hate at first snuff is counterproductive. 10 Grams is a sample IMO
@basement_shaman has a good point. Honestly snuff is still cheap enough to order lots of tins knowing there might be one you don’t like, then you end up trading it for this reason anyway.
I am with basement_shaman as well — snuff is so very inexpensive, relatively speaking, you can order a boat load of small tins to get your “sample”. Additionally, the problem with this type of exchange is the tracking … and as some have mentioned, the shipping overseas. some of you may know we call this a “box pass” in snus world … and we have everyone sign up, give their personal information, ways to be contacted, etc., (typically folks can either vouch for individuals or they have been members on a forum for quite a while) - to the individual running the box pass, and then the shipping has to have a delivery confirmation number, published in the exchange thread … we are typically only doing this in CONUS … but, trust me, people hijack these goods and you never hear from them again. course, in the snus world, box passes make more sense because shipping is so high for folks when they order, the best way to get samples is to trade. there is also an honesty factor here — example, someone places quite a bit of english/indian/german/etc snuff in the exchange, it gets to some dude that walks to walmart in the south, grabs a ton of garbage garrett, swaps it all out. yes yes - i know - NONE of you would do that, only honest folks here 
but … crap like this happens and folks start flaming on the forum. or, someone holds onto the sample exchange for weeks … and folks get their panties in a bunch … it just doesn’t seem worth it for snuff which is so easily purchased for a relatively inexpensive price. just realized i sound like eeyore … negative vibes. but … all points are valid, even eeyore’s.
10 grams is a lot of snuff, but only if I really don’t care for it. Otherwise it’s just enough for me to decide if the feelings I have are just a seasonal thing, or if this is a snuff I can’t go without.

I think this is a good idea, some snuff is some what expensive. Perhaps require a 50 post minimum to participate, with the intent of weeding out a bad apple.
