Hey guys. I was just wondering if you all had experienced this or if it just me. I have recently been really enjoying these SGs lately as a change of pace from finer grind snuffs and have really enjoyed all three i got. However, I notice that when I take London Brown it feels as though I am snuffing grains of moist sand. It is very abrasive in the nose and can at times be unpleasant. Kendal Brown Original and Scotch Black are both very fluffy and smooth but London Brown just hurts sometimes.
sounds like your snuff is dry. Is this from a tapbox?
I got three 25 gm tins and, it’s very coarse and super moist. Almost to wet to snuff with clumpy balls that you cant break up with your fingers. The taste is wonderful and lasting. I would imagine it to be gritty if it were allowed to dry…
I haven’t experienced this. London Brown may be coarse, but it is also quite silky, for lack of a better word. I have trouble keeping it in my nose, but it isn’t rough in the way that other, drier coarse snuffs can be. Still, everyone’s nose is different.
I got it in one of those vacuum sealed 25 gram tins. It is super moist but even when I pinch it it feels like moist tobacco and grits. Imagine that your tin had fluffy moist tobacco and then someone grinded up some stems and put it in there. It’s not bad, I love the scent, but its not as silky in the nose as scotch black and kb original
I have experienced this with a 25g tin of Scotch Black and one other that I can’t remember. The snuff was moist but tended to clump into little boogers that would not break up, gritty was another way to describe the consistency of the snuff. Not sure why this happens some times but I was relieved to find out that this was not the norm for these snuffs. It is not terrible to take these snuffs in this state, like this the difficulty level rises to those of the South African snuffs which is not so hard to take. The texture may vary on some of these SG snuffs but the excellent taste was still there.
I suppose that’s the way these kind of snuffs are. In Sweden folks just started to use them orally…
