Just noticed this for sale at mysmokingshop.co.uk advertised as a fine ground SP with a chocolate orange flavour … just a heads up I have tried WoS Chocolate Orange before … 2nd ever snuff IIRC, and the flavour was excellent but short lived, and nicotine was very modest. I’ve ordered some of this SG offering, and I’ll be very interested to see how it compares

I tossed a tin of this in my order about a week ago so i should have it soon. Will be interesting to see what it’s like.

Well, I got a “order despatched” email less than 15 minutes after ordering it, so hopefully I should see it soon. They are normally quite prompt on delivery. The delay is usually me being unobtainable and having to collect it from the PO 8-| SG tend to be great at the plainer and coarser ones, and a little hit and miss on the “fun flavours”. I’m hoping this is one of their successes [-O<

Ok, mine arrived this morning but due to a busy day i have waited till the evening to try it. I’ve only had a couple of pinches but here is my take for what it’s worth. Usual vacuum sealed tin opens to very fresh (read a bit of ammonia) orange tan, medium fine powder with around medium moisture (maybe a little dryer but not dry). The powder to pinch and snuff is very light and fluffy (more so than any other SG i’ve tried and they tend to be quite light and fluffy fresh from the vac tin). On insufflation the first scent is a citrus cake, which is soon overtaken by a strong floral note which i’m pretty sure is violet. A little burn but nothing to write home about. Nicotine appears quite light and i would rate as low. I had two big pinches and felt no nicotine, however i do use quite a few heavy nic snuffs, so casual/lighter snuffers may be satisfied. The floral note stays in the nose for well over an hour which may appeal to some and drive others away. Now my personal opinion. Unusual. Not horrible but not something i will order again. I think this is the sort of snuff that some will love and others will, not hate, but rather find unappealing. I already find myself in the later category. Certainly different.

Post Script: Kudos to My Smoking shop for delivering this to Australia within 7 days of making the order. The parcel was veritably smoking it got here so fast.

Thanks for the heads up @BigNose So … not chocolate orange to your nose at all then … ? BTW - 7 days to Oz is mighty impressive!

… and 24 hours after ordering, mine has landed too I fully agree on the flour, and mostly agree with you on the citrus cake. I do get a chocolate element to start with, but it fades to more of a orange cake quite quickly. In fact, for those who are familiar with them … McVities Jaffa cakes! That’s what I’m getting! There is a floral side afterwards, but not overwhelming I’ve literally just had a couple of decent sized pinches, so I’ll have to pass comment of that later. So far, I quite like this

Hmmm … I think I’m getting the remnants of this morning snuffs interfering with the afterscent. I’ll need to spend more time with this chocolatey, orangey concoction to really be sure … oh, what a shame >:)

T

Anyone know if mr snuff will be getting it in as I am making a order soon with them

Dunno :-?? Ask him …

H

It certainly smells like a classic chocolate orange to me. In the nose this is slowly replaced by a lasting clove scent…doesn’t anyone else get cloves from this? I think it’s delightful… Christmas in a tin… check it out.

I’ve loaded up a snuffbox with this today and am really enjoying it. I’m still getting a Jaffa cake scent, but starting to get the other spices coming through too now

M

Awww! : / I so wanna try this, but mrsnuff is the only snuff site that I can order from to Norway… : (

5

Actually if anyone from outside the UK, wishes to try this snuff PM me in the next few days & I’ll put in a order for multiple tins by this Friday & post a tin out to you once it arrives.

Good on you @lunecat:-bd I’m tempted to phone SG if I get chance and see if there’s any possibility of getting a half drum of this >:)

M

What is Jaffa cake? Sounds like something not available stateside. But the above posts spurred me into ordering a tin of it. Too bad it won’t be here before Xmas.

@mrmanoshttp://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jaffa\\_Cakes Whether or not you’re familiar with Jaffa Cakes (or even agree that is does smell like them - albeit with a little more spice) it is a lovely snuff, and I hope it reaches you soon

T

Just ordered some from good ol’ Mr S. Thanks, chaps!

M

Got my 25g tin of this from MS. I really like it and it seems to be to last quite a while in the nose. Not something I’ll use every day, but very nice. I hadn’t really noticed the chocolate–will have to look for it on the next use.

M

So now I know what these cakes are! I really like this snuff a lot. I can’t define as accurately as you all those scents. Chocolate orange I don’t get, but maybe I will. All I know is that it’s citrusy and sweetish, and very good. I hope they keep making it, even if they change the name. I think its quite unique… I think I’ll take another pinch.
