Just been window shopping on tinternet.
Black Swan Shoppe in the UK www.thebackyshop.co.uk has reduced 25g tins of Sam Gawiths Kendal Bouquet and Jockey Club to one UK pound a 25g tin. Limited stock.
They inform us that snuff has a short shelf life, and he is not re-ordering the stock of flavours that do not have a big turnover, unless you ask him specifically to get it in for your regular use. That sounds like a decent chap.
So bearing in mind that it may have been on the shelf for a while, it sounds like one pound for a 25g tin is a fair gamble.
While I am on the subject of advertising, I would like to put a question to the moderators and members here.
Apart from handing too much money over the counter to vendors, I have no connections with the tobacco trade at all.
A certain member recently, was criticised for advertising their products and having no input to the forum socially, financially or educationally.
Is it acceptable for a non-trade member, to advertise bargains and tobacco outlets that do not provide sponsorship here?
I am surprised it’s still there. Yellow Crest and Blue Crest were there for a while too. I left them there for about 6 weeks to let others get their fill, then bought what they had left. I did pick up a couple of cans each of Bouquet and Jockey Club, and figured the rest would have gone by now. As to members posting links they don’t profit from, there’s never been a problem with that here.

I think the reason they are discounted is because they are S. Gawith’s least popular snuffs. However, that is a good price. Unfortunately, they don’t appeal to me any longer.
Yeah, I think they were probably slow sellers at the backy shop. Notice how they’re not restocking any other flavours of SG. I haven’t tried either of them yet, as I still have a ridiculous amount of inventory (about a decade’s worth), and am trying to cut down how many tins I have open and in play at any one time. Still a bargain for UK snuffers though, and even if you find them overly scented, just use them as mixers to spice up a plain snuff or a snuff that you find a little dull and boring.
