Most of you probably already know this, but Toque Rustica mixes really well with other snuffs. Not only does it elevate the vitamin N considerably, but it’s so mild on its own that it doesn’t interfere with the scent of the other snuff. Taken by itself, I get a mild, pleasant whiff of hay, but that’s about it. It’s also not hard to take once you find a technique that works for you (I prefer the spoon, placed directly beneath the nostril at a slight angle).
Anyway, just thought I’d share. Cheers to Toque for a great product.
@Thepeug excellent topic! I use homemade Rustica snuff made from whole leaf, but the properties are the same. It makes an excellent mixer. It adds a little characteristic funk, but it respects the scent of the snuff being mixed with it. I find it indispensable for toning down scents I find cloying or too assertive. I’d encourage anyone to revisit a snuff they didn’t really enjoy by mixing some Rustica in with it.

Mixing is the only thing I use rustica for. I’m not a fan of it “neat”, so I only use it for boosting other snuffs. If you take something highly perfumed like Royal George, or one of the vibrant FT snuffs, mix it with a plain snuff and a little rustica (not too much), you can end up with a very nice snuff that you can take all day without overpowering your senses, and which will keep all your cravings at bay. I’d suggest starting sixty percent plain, and twenty percent each of the scented and rustica, then tweak as necessary to suit your own tastes.
