I love Toque Snuff. Some of the finest quality snuffs available and Roderick’s astounding creativity and service are excellent. However: Rustica Fine Grind just about killed me. I used to smoke Camel non-filters, so nicotine and I are not strangers passing in the night. A like minded friend gifted me a large quantity of Rustica, and I used it, sparingly, in some of my home blended creations. Is this stuff legal? I’ve dabbled in other enlightening herbs, but I have never had the dizziness, cold sweats and altered consciousness Rustica provided. A gift that keeps on giving. I am now using this powder as a pesticide…very effective. I will focus on the balance of Toque’s offerings in the future…to excess, with joy and a s**t eating grin on the front of my head.
I love it. I’ll admit the first time I tried it I was surprised at the strength and I sat down to get my bearings but after the first few times I snuffed it I got used to it and now, while it still is very strong to me, it is more like any other snuff with just a unique feel to the N buzz. I hope it is always available through Toque because they have done it just right
I love both fine and coarse rusticas.Though I might not enjoy them if I was getting cold sweats and such from it.I simply get a good hard nic hit from it…no altered conscience or anything like that.I have actually thought about getting some papers and rolling up a smoke with some of the course just to see what effect it would have on me.
Man there must be something wrong with my tolerance, rustica does nothing to me, I admit it has a nice burn and I do enjoy the flavor
Now I am really looking forward to trying the Rustica. I may have to place an order from Toque earlier than planned just to try it. I remember the head buzz and lightheadedness I got the first time I smoked a (tobacco) pipe, which was my first experience with nicotine. I’d love to have a similar experience with Rustica, or even just the tipsy, “don’t make me get up from this chair”, relaxed muscle feeling I get from a strong cigar.
@outlawmobile How fine is the fine Rustica, aund how coarse is the coarse? As a new snuffer, I have yet to master the finer, drier snuffs, including WoS Irish Toast #22 and the two Toque snuffs I have tried (KY Bourbon and Spanish Brandy). Need to start reading up on some techniques here.
I think the nic buzz from Rustica is unique. I like it, but I use it sparingly. I’ve never had problems with it other than a nasty throat drip. I like the flavor too. It’s kind of grassy, earthy.
The fine rustica is quite fine. If your not getting along with Kentucky Bourbon then you won’t likely get along any better with the fine rustica. The coarse is very coarse. Personally I love them both but I would say until you get some good technique for fine snuff go with the coarse. Both give about the same nic hit but the fine is felt immediately as where the coarse kind of builds as it is absorbed.
I enjoy both the coarse & fine grind. I’ve yet to experience any ill effects from this “top shelf” snuff.
Thanks for the info, @outlawmobile and @perique . Funny, before I thought I saw both “Fine” and “Coarse” Rustica listed on the store of @Roderick . Last night when I went to make a purchase, I only saw 1 type of Rustica. Whatever, wound up ordering 100g of it. I have enough fine snuff on the way that I’ll definitely have to work on my technique, but that will come with time, I am sure.
