RSVP Tiny Salt Condiment Spoon vs. Mister Snuff's Stainless Steel Snuff Spoon

After getting a Patrick Collins’ box with a little spoon, I’ve become enthusiastic about using a spoon, except when out and about, when a tap box or flask seems more suitable and convenient. I bought an RSVP Tiny Salt Condiment Spoon on eBay for $3.95. It’s a nice little spoon, almost 5 inches long and containing about an eighth of a teaspoon. It’s a good size, perhaps just a trifle too big, but definitely better than being too small, as it makes spillage less likely. I was a little bit sad that it’s too large to fit into most flasks, including my Toque flask. I bought this before noticing that Mister Snuff has what looks like an excellent snuff spoon, this one: https://mistersnuff.com/catalog/stainless-steel-snuff-spoon-p-1538.html?osCsid=3889008cc8a4f02898d676ff01ce1826 I wonder if anyone here can tell me if the Mister Snuff spoon is small enough to get into a flask like the Toque flask?

Yes it fits fine

@basement_shaman, done! It’s in my next package from Mister Snuff!

@JakartaBoy just avoid putting it in your back pocket while sitting. they bend right behind the spoon and will take a couple of bends ,I have two one for on the go and one at home. I normally box car from my flask but I do carry snuff boxes that i spoon out of, snuff off of spoon.depending on the snuff. only a few snuff I actually pinch. I get more snuff with box car and or spoon. I bent the one spoon several time 90* ,I fear one more bend it will snap off :((

I’ve just started using a spoon. I thought the idea was silly until I got my Patrick Collins’, but then I found that I get a lot more of the scent of the snuff when I use it. Also, with DW, my working desk always ended up looking like a baker’s bread board when I pinched. So, I’m a convert. Now it’s definitely my favorite way of snuffing, I always use a spoon unless I’m trying to be a bit discreet in public.

We have a titanium version of the ‘surgeons spoon’ on the way. That should solve the bending problem (though it might well cause a different sort of problem for you)

titanium you say? hmm, very interesting. might have to take a look…

@MrSnuff, any plans on getting in more of those incredibly sexy titanium flasks in the near future? The stainless steel ones look pretty good, but the idea of a titanium one make me weak at the knees.

The stainless steel spoon from Mr Snuff turned up the other day. It’s an excellent tool. Totally recommended for anyone who uses a spoon. The size is pretty much perfect, as @Basement_Shaman said, it fits into most small flasks very nicely. I usually find filling flasks a bit of a messy chore, but it’s quite easy to do with this spoon. Oh, and I qualified for the little freebie spoon at the same time, the one you get for an order of >$40. I was about to dismiss it as useless and give it away to a girlfriend’s daughter to play with, when I checked to see if it would fit into the Patrick Collin’s Triple-Tech wooden snuffbox. Yes, it fits. While I’m not exactly planning on losing the little camel bone spoon that comes with the box, it doesn’t seem impossible that it might happen anyway. So I’m saving the little freebie spoon for that possible eventuality.
