Please merge this if it’s a duplicate thread… Ok, this stuff is nasty! It smells like old socks and ammonia. Barely any menthol flavor at all. It was so bad I was mouth-breathing for thirty minutes for fear of catching another taste. Anyone like this stuff?

People usually agree that you should just air it out for a while to get rid of the ammonia smell, I’m not the expert on this, but maybe do so for half an hour or so, then check it out again- repeat as necessary. I guess that’s more or less it, I’ve never had to do it, some people don’t really mind the smell.

second piece of advice for new snuffers ammonia is good it means the snuff is fresh as can be. Air it out like Mr_O said. While the ammonia is gross and probably not too healthy. It isn’t enough to harm seriousily and is a sign of quality. It’s a natural by product of snuff making and isn’t added to the snuff. When the ammonia is aired out you are left with the best and freshest snuff possible.

Maybe someone can verify this: I heard that our body makes ammonia, in some form, when it destroys excess protein- and most of us get more than we need on a regular basis.

Ammonia issues aside, Rockit doesn’t have the best reputation. I’ve only had the Cherry Pop myself, which I regard as among the 3 or 4 worst snuffs I’ve ever had.

So ammonia is normal but what about the old socks part? Lol
