Hello snuffers of the world ! It has been a couple of months I’m here, on this great forum, and snuffing all around.
My biggest question at the beginning of the story was : what are the best snuffs for beginners ?
I tried some, and here are my results. Of course, it’s subjective, but perhaps it will help newbies… Please note that some snuffs described here are great, but not for beginners from my point of view.
All notes are /10.
- from 2 to 6/10 : here are the snuffs not so good for beginners. Some are too much mentholated ones, other are just too dry to begin with. Sensitive noses that are not common with powerfull taste or not so trained with strange tastes must not buy : Mc Crystals (classic), Dr Rumney, Toque blueberry (almost no taste), SG Banana (like sugar in your nose : tasty but hard textured), for example
- 7/10 : very tasty but… : Ozona Cola, Pöschl Apricot, Toque Lime Toast (the toast is well present, perhaps to dry or ‘roasted’, lime almost absent), …
- 8/10 : from that point it became easy and pleasant to snuff, without difficulties. Wilsons of Sharrow Cinnamon, and Vanilla. Ozona Cherry (sweetly fresh), SG Apricot and Karlingste Gingerbread are also very great ! All are very sweet to take and breathe, and nice moment in the day
- 8.5/10 : these have a bonus from precedent ones : a stronger or ‘thiner’ taste : Toque Violet (like a perfume in your nose !, but doesn’t ‘stay’ longly), Löwe Prisse (herbal, garden-fresh, sweetly mentholated, strong taste, but no nose problems)
- 9/10 : we approach perfection, with , Wilsons Jockey Club (very sweet to breathe but a subtle rainbow of tastes), and my favourite : Toque Peanut Butter, very tasty (and it stays !), like a nice 4pm break in your nose, makes you dream about something to eat… A subtle and fine taste I cannot describe !
Conclusion : I suggest all snuffs mentionned from 8 to 9 to begin with. These are just perfect to exercise your nose to ‘smell’ different flavours, and their grain and moisture make the taking easy.
Please suggest me other snuffs to try Obviously, I didn’t find the perfect one, with no defaults, with a nice packaging, a real surprise from now.
And I didn’i find the awful one neither…
