i got this in the package with the rest of the old mill snuffs which i will be reviewing. im detecting a strong smokiness with hits of expresso and figs. very nice. its what i would consider medium-coarse and quite moist. a little bit of a struggle getting it in my nose and a slight forward drip. but overall its nothing in compared to the smell. very well rounded a nice snuff. i quite like this one this will be a nice morning snuff as it has a good nicotine hit. i say this because my forehead is tingling. this is definitely something i would be taking often during the day. 4 out of 5 i would have given it a five except for the difficulty i had in taking it and the front drip of course the front drip could be caused by getting it up there really high so i think ill revise and give it 4.5 out of five
I just got this and I’m really enjoying it. It’s as you say medium course grind and quite moist but once it’s been loosened up a bit I find it pretty easy to take. The flavour is a nice hit of smokiness with a strong brown sugar, some vanilla and milky coffee and I’m going to say dates instead of figs. It does have a slightly uncomfortable drip but it’s minimal and nothing on the lines of Cafe 11.
its definitely good stuff
Thank you all for your feedback. You could say that Premiere is Fleur de Cafe’s older brother. Same idea with some adjustments to the tobacco and casing cocktail to make room for the coffee and bring out some sweeter tobacco notes similar to unsweetened cavendish. Fleur de Cafe has a lemon note that is fleeting and could be a bit stronger. I was looking for that scent you get from a twist of lemon with a double espresso. The grind and moisture feedback has been all over the board and I will take them all under advisement on future snuffs, perhaps making several versions of the basic concept. Thoughts? Thanks again for taking the time to share your impressions here. It really does help. Cheers
Just to add to the enthusiasm here - the Fleur de Cafe is exquisite. I have always wanted to enjoy coffee snuff - I love coffee perhaps more than I love tobacco - but so far none has delivered. They have all had a ‘bottom of a cold cafetiere’ scent to them. Chef Daniel, however, has got it absolutely right. The tobacco is lovely, the snuff itself is an astonishing deep black, the coffee aroma is delicious. I think I want to move to Tennessee.
Fleur de Cafe is absolutely delicious. A bit coarse, making it a bit more of an effort to get in my nose. However, the effort is worth it. I’ve never tried a coffee snuff before this one, so I can’t say it’s the best. However, it reminds me of my childhood when I would wake up for school and my mom had the coffee pot on. A nice aroma.
I got a “medium” sized tin of Fluer de Cafe in an order yesterday. Brought it along to work today as one of three snuffs to rotate through as I work / study - I have been enjoying it immensely. Have an idea that a larger order of this one is going into my wishlist .
