I got a twist that was manufactured last year but it’s dried out. I was wondering if anyone knows a way to rehydrate it properly. I’ve heard steaming it works, I may try that.

I had some bone dry Cotton Boll Twist that I rehydrated using the indirect method. Put it in a tupperware container with a piece of damp (not wet) paper towel making sure not to let the twist touch the paper towel, then close the lid and check up on it once a day until it reaches the desired moisture level. Make sure you don’t forget about it if you leave it in there too long it will go moldy.

Thanks. I might give that a try instead.

I’ve got an old box of Cohiba cigars jarred up in a mason jar with Boveda humidity packs. They seem to be slowly getting some of their moisture back. Granted, all I have on hand are 62% packs for “another purpose”, I know tobacco really wants a bit more than that.
