Red Bull Strong Snuff - Chief Quality vs. no chief quality

A few weeks ago I purchased four boxes of Red Bull Strong Snuff at my tobacconist. I just now discovered that two of them only have white text, chief logo and “strong snuff” banner. The other two have gold lining around the text, logo and banner, in addition to Chief … Quality print in gold on both sides of the chief logo. As it happens, I used the two non-gold boxes first, and have now opened the first one with gold lining and Chief Quality print. Now I wonder, is there any difference between them aside from the gold details and added text? I still have some left of the non-gold one, and it seems slightly different. The Chief Quality seems to be more full-bodied and more enjoyable than the old one, but that could be due to the fact that the non-Chief Quality box is almost empty and that oxygen has affected the tobacco in a larger degree than the just-opened Chief Quality snuff. Any input on this is appreciated.

I think that it’s just a slight redesign of the label that was carried out. If that’s the case, the one’s that just say strong snuff would likely seem a bit lifeless due to the fact that they’re simply older product that have lost a bit of their luster sitting out on the shelf. My guess, it’s just old stock versus new stock. I’m sure someone else could chime in with a definitive answer.

Can you show us a pciture comparison? I’m curious. Although shikotohno is probably right, and one is simply older stock showing an older logo. However, check to see if both are called “Strong Snuff”, since in Poland and Germany, there are two Red Bulls available, “Strong” and “Aromatic.” They may have added the “Chief Quality” to make it a brother to the now defunct Chief Bull, which also has the same emblem.

I found the solution! Today while at work, I had the Chief Quality one in my pocket the whole time, and my job is very physical, so it got a lot of wear while in my pocket. Now, almost all the gold detail is worn off! It’s the exact same box, but only the white will stick to the plastic after all that pocket friction. So I guess my initial suggestion that the almost empty box seemed flatter due to more oxygen exposure was right. I don’t have a picture comparison, but rub one against your trouser leg long enough, and the gold will disappear, only the white will remain. Since “Chief Quality” is in gold only, the text completely disappears.
