Other than resizing on my phone, is there a way to resize photos on the mobile Web version of snuffhousr.org? Or do i have to do it from the regular desktop site? My photos always appear huge when i upload from mobile site.
Not sure. Chris, @cstokes4, will be back on Thursday and he’s better with the tech stuff than me. Usullaly when I upload a photo, I just hit “attach a file” thne select it and send. Its not in the post, per se, but attached to it. The viewer can click on the file to see it full size. I’ll post an example:
Aha! Maybe thats what my problem is… I hit the photo icon that makes you input URL for photo, instead of attaching a file… Im now doing a test for attaching a file…
Cool, it works! Thanks @Xander!
Yes, very good! I see a little collection of snuffs, so it works. What is the wooden snuffbox on the left with what looks like an Indian head? Edit : no looks like a Greek warrior’s head.
@Xander that box is a rococo wooden slide box ,Mr snuff sells them cheap , they are no patrick collins or heart wood box,But with a little fine sand paper and several coats of pipe wax you have a cheap little box, they are kind of rough when you get them and the slide is sloppy play. Just goes to show ya ,you get what you pay for.
@Basement_Shaman Yeah, there was some wood fuzz on the inside edges, and the slide action needs some work. I like my Heartwood boxes,… And definitely want a Triple Tech box.
@TobaccyLassy Yes I use paragon wax and seems to work well. Patrick says not to use any thing on his boxes. But they are mine now and I will wax them if I want to. I kind of wish I would had stained mine first since most of my boxes are the rose wood color. I noticed just from handling this one the oils from my skin started to darken it so I waxed it. Not a great box but I got it working, I may decide to strip the lid and do some chip carving on it.If I get bored.
Have to work on this
@MatttheFox It seems you have found out how. I was about to do it, as that was a bit too risqué for here. Thanks for removing.
@Basement_Shaman. Wasnt Paragon wax previously called “Renaissance wax” or the other way around? Ive used Renaissance on my Heartwood boxes and makes 'em look great.
@TobaccyLassy I have no knowledge of the history of Paragon wax the other wax I use is halcyon II wax made by the same company Fine pipes international
I just looked it up… Halcyon 1 (not 2) has the same formula as Renaissance wax. Now my curiosity is quelled. Lol!
@Xander I am sorry about that. I own a small graphics business and to try the post, I snagged the last file I was working on for a customers shirt design. It won’t happen again
@basement_shaman @TobaccyLassy Have you ever tried “Briar Pipe Wipe” for your pipes I love this product
No, I have a hard time to keep up with just cleanings.
@basement_shaman It is a good product that you spray on a paper towel, let dry over night then just rub your pipe with it and like magic the sheen of the pipe comes back and is protected. It has a great smell also
keul
I’d likebto get some briar pipe wipe… So far been using Denicare wipe
The can says that it is distributed by Arango Cigar Co. You can even use it while you are smoking a bowl
