Join Our Discord ServerI just got this from Mr. Snuff. I’d always wanted to try it & I just did. It’s great. It’s like FUBAR Grunt has a brother. This snuff really should be more well-known. It’s unfortunate that it had to come out as a gimmicky quit smoking brand because it takes away from what a wonderful plain snuff it is. Especially with Grunt on hiatus, I’d recommend it.
Any other lovers of this Q product?
I have ice Cool, Apricot, and Sandalwood. I LOVE the Ice Cool…it’s totally on my reorder list, especially if we can start getting it in 50g tubs. My complaint with Apricot is the same that I have with many other Apricot snuffs. I grew up with fresh Apricots, but the snuff has more of that dried Apricot scent to it. The Sandalwood is just WHABAM! HAVE SOME SANDALWOOD!!! it’s last for a long, long time. When i’m in the mood for it, it’s just wonderful. I will say I love the grind and moisture of the ones I’ve tried too; it doesn’t go where it isn’t supposed to, and it’s easy to clear out of my nose. It’s a damn fine product in my book.

It’s a helluva deal but I’d like to know about the “boxes” too.
I think its a good deal too. Ill have to grab one soon as my brother seems to like their apricot the best. And Im curious about the others.9 bullets, and 9 hankees… could be amazing. Ill have to look around for the quality of their bullets.
I do like their Natural or Smoker’s Blend. It is pretty much FUBAR Grunt’s little brother. Idk. I’m not much of a menthol fan, so I never even considered buying any of their other snuffs or the Quit Kit.
I just nabbed a box of 10 x 10g Ice Cool on my order. The 3 weeks I was without almost killed me. I hope they offer 50+ gram tubs in the future. I need an OscarWabbit style stash of it.

@harlequin He was unaware that they are even in stock. When you navigate to american snuffs/qsnuff/quitkit there are no products. However, if you go to bythebox/qsnuff/ there are several in stock. They may or may not be there, he did say that the “Snuff Boxes” are another name for “smashbox”, but as to whether or not they contained snuff he was unsure.
The next time I order I will order one. It may be a few weeks out.

I quite like the QWS products, the coffee and apricot being my favorites. The apricot is very lush and clean, moorish.
I ordered a full box of the Ice Cool. Anyone who hasn’t tried it is missing out. That stuff is a MUST have. It’s the menthol I use when I don’t feel like menthol if that makes any sense. It’s not like some snuffs that are menthol because that’s the gimmick or someone just said, “Hey, we should see what this grind is like if we jammed a bunch of menthol in it,” almost like an afterthought because they needed one in the lineup. It seems like it was designed from the ground-up to be a minty, cooling, wonderful snuff, and as part of it’s nature the menthol needs to be in there. Like it was born with it or something.
I’m a huge fan of QSnuff, and I honestly think it’s an under-mentioned line of snuff, with Ice Cool being the best of the 3 that I have tried (Apricot, Sandalwood, Ice Cool).
If any of you haven’t tried them because the brand is a newcomer, get over it and order a little tub. I don’t know what the other flavors are like, but I haven’t found a Mr. Snuff line of product that I haven’t enjoyed yet. Yes, even ‘Shot of Rum’ frequents my nose. Not counting the 225g of pot luck snuff, 300g of the 350g remainder of my order was something that Mr. Snuff produces. I know everyone has different tastes, but you at least have to give it a whirl.
Its the snuff I give to people that want to try. Its very user friendly. My interest in the box is that it seems like a hell of a deal. It did state 10g refills. But Im just not sure what the 2 of each snuffboxes are.
Is the smokers blend and natural identical? In the quit kit its called one thing, on the companies product listing its called another if that is the case.
I like the Sandalwood and the Ice Cool, the Irish Coffee is surprisingly good too.
I think it’s the packaging and the name frankly. They don’t jump out at you like the other brands do. Fubar jumps out though. You see that say wtf (why that is funk). I’ve only tried the sandalwood which is amazing and I should keep ordering it but it slips my mind everytime. I think something about the quit line also implies newbie snuff which in tobacco newbie isn’t a good thing, makes me think cherry pipe tobacco from a drug store.
My quit kit came.
It has 9 combo boxes, each has a 5g bullet, and a 5g refill and a neat little brown hanky.
It has 6 10g tubs of the snuff therein.
So:
====150 grams (Bullets/tubs/refills)
_____9 acrylic bullets
--------9 handkerchiefs.
Mr.Snuff has 7 more of them.
I didn’t notice the QSnuff bullets were 5g. That solves a lot of problems for taking snuff with me.
Are you pleased with the mechanics of the bullets? Pretty standard?
As it is plastic, you can open the bowl up and the air inlet if you want. Im going to expand the bowls on mine for sure. I unscrewed the bottom, it will be narrow and a bit of a pain to fill, but it can certainly be done.
You can really tell that there is a huge volume difference between it and other metal or acrylic bullets. also a side bonus, the bottom screws off as a container and fills from the top instead of the bottom, this is made of a soft plastic which I would think would make it more durable than harder acrylic bullets, especially if you like to tap them like I do.
I also got 10g of Sandalwood and Irish Coffee…
They are good. The sandalwood is very calming. The coffee actually smells like brewed coffee. I tried some coffee snuffs that were more like added instant coffee granules ground up.
The only thing that stops me from wanting to order that box is all the apricot. For some reason I’m pretty sure I won’t like any apricot snuff. Oh, since the bullets are larger than most others, do they give a larger dose as well?
No, you’re gonna have to work with it to suit your needs. No biggie though, I did it with a metal bullet. I just used continually larger screw drivers and worked it out the way I wanted. Plastic should be much easiar though.
I didn’t really worry what the flavors were, I was disinterest in the smokers blend to be quite honest. But they come in their own little cardboard case, with a bullet a refill and a hanky. It makes a perfect little gift. Im going to give an apricot… and which ever other one he’d like. Really, I paid basically 3 bucks for each one. No skin off me for my brother.
Actually, I just paid attention and relooked through the box. There are 2 10g apricots, but 4 ice cool kits, and 2 smokers blend kits. No apricot kits.
trying to decide between Q Natural and Grunt. Haven’t got into the scotches yet, but I love toasts. I am still a newb. Is there a big difference between these two? I figured these two would be my best bet for now because it sounds like the grind of Sparrow might be something I want to try after I’ve used some scotches.
Not had the Q, but I can vouch for Grunt, indeed each of the Fubar range, as being excellent. Grunt is fine, dryish and has a flavour - coconut - that some people get and some don’t, so interesting for that fact alone. God powerful snuff with as much nicotine as you will ever need.
The Dholakia traditional Indian snuffs - not the contract brands like Wow and what have you - are like ultra toasts, very fine and penetrating but very good if you have the technique. Things like Sparrow Cool have a light menthol touch. Most menthols have the medicating ingredients by the shovel full but this is a nice light one, not many are.
Ok, if I remember right, Quit natural, Fubar, Sparrow, and Rockit Naked, are all the same grind and base tobacco, with Quit, Naked and Fubar being oiled. Dave chimed in and added that Fubar had musk added. All of the Wow products are also the same base, flavored. These are all Dholakia snufffs spun off the Sparrow grind and tobacco base. Kissing cousins.
I think I’ll try the Q natural first, thx guys
@cakeanddottle- I strongly suggest trying both of those to get the subtle differences, small changes in Grunt makes for a very good scent, to me. They are both quality tobacco snuffs that will not be a waste to try. I think that they are both well worth experiencing. Small price to pay for a good snuff lesson in the subtleties of snuff blending.

@cakeanddottle - Whatever they put in Fubar Grunt has affected the part of my olfactory mind to the extent that I crave this one and hoard it excessively. My little Rat mind jumps on the Grunt lever every day, and it never fails to give that certain little burn and then a flood of endorphins. It does to me what Grand Cairo does to Cstokes. So feel free to disregard my biased nicotine besotted ravings ( more grunt for me )!
Ah! A dilemma that! Enjoy those fine bulks! The bulks are so sexy and really opens up a whole nother world of freshness. I have had some wonderfull dips into all my bulks, still do. I was struck by just how fresh the snuff can stay in bulk.
There is something about Fubar that does make you hoard, thats a fact.

It’s the excitement when it arrives, I become 10 years old again. MY two beautiful jars of WoS sherry and Irish are sitting on my shelf looking gorgeous.
I thought I had a quite serious tobacco hording problem until Oscarwabbit came along and put it into perspective.

Me too! Multiple tins bags/pouches of pipe tobacco. Some years’ worth.
When Wilson’s had the blowout half price sale, this occurred just as PACT was going into effect in the US, I took it it as a sign from “Whomever” and ordered so much that I had to place three separate orders. I was able to get 260 g of all my favorites, and 450g of “special” snuffs. All of the tubs were double taped, double vacuum sealed, and have been stored in the dark at 60 degrees. They are all still as perfect as I got them, and spooning out 50 grams for use at a time is heavenly. I was a little freeked at all the snuff, but the snuff was an absolute bargain. I treasure this horde of fine snuff.
