I had a lot of tins lurking in the depths of drawers which needed sorting, tasting, decanting, and reviewing. Some I’d tried before and couldn’t remember the scent, and some were ones I’d never opened. Here’s a summary of the conclusions M&W Mature Crumbled: Delicious mature scented SP on a luxurious tobacco base M&W Citrus Delight: Delightful snuff that smells of citrus. A full bodied and well balanced scent on an excellent tobacco base M&W Particular: A luxurious tobacco base … that I think someone forgot to add scent to WoS Raspberry: Face melting menthol with a hint of raspberry McC Raspberry: A rich raspberry scent with hint of menthol WoS Strawberry: Subtle hint of strawberry. No menthol WoS Summer Berries: Subtle berries and cream… and metallic spoon. Nice tobacco. Fruit scent develops well in the nose. M&W Rumba: Rum scent on a slightly chocolatey backdrop WoS Chocolate Mint: Wonderful peppermint cream fondant with soft cocoa powder surround. Absolutely fantastic! WoS Peach Melba: Smells like baby sick Viking Peach: More baby sick WoS Lemon and Lime: Smells like something you use to clean up baby sick WoS Morlaix: Glorified SP. Quite nice. Very good at getting rid of the smell of babysick F&T Morlaix: Same deal, but for when you’re wearing a tuxedo F&T Kendal Brown: Pompous “upper class” version of KB which is nothing like it’s namesake, but actually works incredibly well. Very similar afterscent to the geographically correct versions. WoS Butterscotch: Nice snuff, but distinctly lacking in butterscotch WoS Vanilla: It’s… vanilla! Very nice though WoS Country Mint: Mint. Lots of it. WoS Princes: Decant immediately into glass jars to prevent rusting. Grin profusely while snuffing. Along similar lines to the F&T versions SG Gin & Tonic: G+T works a lot better in a glass than in this snuff. OK for occasional pinch, but I’m glad I didn’t order a double WoS Brunswick: Rather similar to Princes, but with a crisper scent. Superb WoS Burgundy: Rather similar to F&T KB, but with a more complex scent. Superb JHW SP No 1: A light tobacco originated dust JHW Top Mill No 1: A slightly darker tobacco originated dust SG SP Scotch: Superb SP scent on a SP ground KB tobacco. Why the hell did I not know about this sooner. I need this in bulk!

Thanks for sharing your impressions with good humo(u)r. I got a giggle out of a few of these.

@TerrapinFlyer. Thanks for your feedback. Glad I managed to raise a giggle @Marielle32 I certainly did have. Starting to get things under control now. I don’t think I own anything I haven’t tried now. @basement_shamen Thanks. It’s been fun sorting though it all, and have (re)discovered some great snuffs

A few more I revisited that hadn’t received much attention lately: SG Hazelnut: Surprisingly good. Not something I could use all day though Jaxons SP Premium: Excellent! Definitely something I could use all day Jaxons 1869: A mentholated English snuff that doesn’t melt your face. GH Strawberry: Subtle, but pleasant GH Whisky: Menthol with an indistinct alcoholic afterscent. Dreadful GH Wild Mint: One of my favourite mint snuffs. Not overpowering like so many others 6P Anarkali: Mentholated rose. Shouldn’t work, but yet it does! WoS Irish Coffee: Wonderful!!! SG Black Coffee: Needs milk and sugar WoS Starsbourg: Perfectly fine. For the indecisive snuffer who can’t decide whether to have a SP or something more floral WoS Honey Menthol: Correct! Painfully mentholated with a hint of honey. GH Sea Breezes: Lightly mentholated with a hint of… coast. No dead fish, thankfully.

Yes, you are having quite a week! Enjoy, or not, as the case may be.

A necessary evil The bad ones have gone, or are being “recycled”, and the good ones are all in decent containers I’ll be sticking to enjoying the good ones this week

T

Life’s too short for snuffs you don’t like…

D

Jeebus.

That’s a busy week.

@50ft_trad, I like your descriptions. Short and to the point. I like Strasbourg too. Very nice and non-sickening

Thanks for your comments guys

T

@50ft_trad I don’t think I could ever describe Viking Peach any better than you did no matter how much time I was given.
