So if this law gets passed will we no longer be able to buy snuff,snus, or pipe tobacco online?
The bill makes no mention whatever of pipe tobacco.
It doesn’t mention pipe tobacco, but it is not excepted specifically as cigars are so I think they will consider it included.
what about snuff or swedish snus?
All tobacco products excluding cigars would be affected. As it reads now. It really doesn’t stop internet sales, it just bans the use of USPS for delivery and requires all taxes to be collected by the company doing the selling.
ahh so basically higher prices because of the taxes…
and because of the extra paperwork involved for the companies.
Although it doesn’t make it illegal to ship tobacco UPS or Fedex, they have agreed to abide by USPS rules concerning tobacco if the PACT act passes. This of course seems to allow undeclared shipments of tobacco to be shipped UPS without prosecution, a possible solution.
