Princes Dark

This is a Kendal Brown with geranium, rose and orange. The balance of the geranium and rose is much more equal than the F&T Princes varieties. I like the in your face geranium of F&T, but I also admire the balance in SG Princes Dark. The orange makes its presence known after the floral bouquet in your nose and leaves a pleasant taste. Strikes me as low nic for a KB type, but I take a lot of Viking. Excellent snuff and a bulk reorder for me.

** This one gets better and better the more I take. It doesn’t scratch the same itch as the F&T Princes varieties, but it is equally excellent and one that both KB lovers and floral snuff admirers should give an audition to.

Also, this is very moist. In a good way. My rosewood box tends to leave me with snuff that is getting drier than I’d like before the end of the day, and I rehydrate a little bit if I’m somewhere where I can. This snuff keeps nicely throughout my work day in the same box.

I do wonder if Black Rappee is the base for this instead of Kendal Brown. The grind is very coarse, and unless the moisture level is out-of-the-tin perfect it doesn’t like to stay in your nose.

I think the base is BR. I have the two tins side by side in my box. When my BR runs low, I mix it in with the Prince’s and it blends in perfectly. Even the grind is identical. It appears to me that PD is simply BR with added scents. BTW, it surely is one my favorite snuffs. I like it a lot more than the F&T version, although thats good also, but very different.
