Is there any way to prevent drip? I know there are a few things you can do to alleviate symptoms, such as having a drink on hand and sipping on that, but I usually just hock a loogie and spit. Kinda gross if you ask me.
I just always have a drink to hand and take a sip when needed.
I’m with @SnuffySnuff on this one. I also blow my nose when it becomes wet instead of waiting for it to feel like it’s ready to ooze.
In my experience, it seems that a solid nose blow can pull a drip from way back. Some snuffs aren’t bad tasting when they drip, but others can be really foul. Dholakia, and the other labels that use their base, make me hesitate every time I take them because of it.
Stop using the snuff that drips. Problem solved!
I never really get drip, you might be sniffing too hard, but I don’t know.
Schmalzlers make me drip to no end, but as @MatttheFox and @dogwalla pointed out, a good blow works wonders, and usually prevents the drip that makes my tonsils kind of sore.
Thanks for all the advice. Recently I’ve been experimenting with different ways to ease the symptoms. I found that sucking on a lollipop or something helps a lot, as with drinking something (just not hot tea). Ultimately I’ve learned that it all depends on which type of snuff I’m pinching.
Whenever I get drip just drink some water, it lessens eventually. When I started snuffing (approx. 1 year ago) can´t stand the drip from Molens Chocomint, it left my throat in ashes and now I barely notice it… One thing not mentioned besides a good blow and a good drink it´s a good spit, I know it´s gross but to get rid of the snuff slowly going down your throat it´s a remedy, sniff strongly and instead of swallowing it down redirect it to your mouth and spit it out, not the more elegant solution but as an emergency one it works!
STOP IT??? That’s one of my main objectives… Get all of that crap out of my nose and sinuses! If you are in formal company, getting it onto your tongue and discretely wiping your tongue on your bandana will do the trick. It dries up as fast as any wet blow.
I figured the drip was an aquired taste that you develop over time like scotch or beer. When I first started snuffing about 4-6 months or so ago I couldnt stand the drip from anything other than honey bee. Now I dont really mind it with most snuffs (aside from fubar doolia tap which feels like acid dripping down my throat) and kind of enjoy it.
I’ve always quite enjoyed the drip. Especially with a sweeter snuff. Buttercup drips taste real good.
