I myself like to pinch on the left side. What are other’s preferences?

D

Left

M

I thought the custom was to place it right in the middle, “dead ahead” if you will. Might that be the only good configuration when using a long portion as well?

B

I alternate sides. Although I prefer lös on the left side. Oddly enough I prefer dip on the left side also.

J

I also alternate but the right side sits more comfortably and is the favorite. I am left handed if that matters.

M

dead ahead, up top.  seems to absorb better up there.

N

Another alternater here

D

I prefer left but force my self to alternate.

Ken

J

By default portions to the right , loose to the left but i consciously force myself to alternate. Obviously moving loose once it’s in is a tricky operation.

P

I use the right side for pouches/los,  as well as dip.

B

both at the same times sometimes. More comfortable then a bigger pris in one spot.

D

I use to use snus on right side but nowdays i only use left side.

S

Wonder if right hand persons using left side and left handed persons uses the right side. Anyone?

J

Any serious snuser would throw the portion in and position it with the tongue so the hands play no part in it.

D

^ yep. I pop it in and then move it around with my tongue.

B

under the tongue dead center. What am I doing it wrong?

Actually, I’ve read some OLD time snussers, like 1870’s era, used that method. So maybe you are the one who is doing it right.

M

Yeah, isn’t it true that some substances absorb better sublingually?

I

Left, right, middle. Wherever it feels most comfortable. I just toss the pris in my mouth and position it with a flick of the tongue

A

always middle for me.

J

Precisely why I don’t do it. Snus gives me enough nicotine as it is , I want to enjoy , not kill , myself.

M

'Spose it depends what yer looking for…I’m too curious not to try it, but not to start with a stark

J

Haha , all too true.

M

I can imagine the pain allready, maybe it’s worth it?

W

I tend to alternate sides.
Original portions I like to keep close to center and white portion and loose I can go a bit farther back with.

P

Typically on the right. However, sometimes I switch it up and put it in on the left. However, being right handed it seems to be only natural to opt for the right side.

R

Left but I’m down to my last pot of General extra strong

F

i assume all you leftys are actually right handed? im left handed and prefer it in the right hand side just to the side of that bit of skin joining the gums, but ill alternate portions if im using something that burns like odens because i like the burn. on a side that hasnt become used to it.

S

Prefer top right. But force myself to switch and sometimes even go bottom. I used to only put it top center, and it was destroying my lip. Now that I alternate, I no longer get white patches and other than some slight recession, my mouth is like that of a non snuser even though I use a can every 2 and a half days.

W

Usually left, but when the portion gets really sleazy (past the first 45 mins) it goes where it wants! I´m right handed.

S

Always on the right.

K

I double-diaper.

S

I alternate, but the OCD in me won’t allow me to use one of the other on the same side, it has to be the opposite, yes I am slightly mad!

N

Left

B

alternatation is important.

R

Im a self-proclaimed snus-expert, middle as it was meant to be, unless its a flavored like probe whiskey, wow! series and so on. the swedes do it in the middle too btw.

N

the middle is uncomfortable and ineffective, there is no salivary gland ducts near the middle upper lip so very little saliva gets there, little saliva equals little nicotine absorption and little flavour

N

Left, right or both sides at the same time…whatever feels best for the moment.
