I would add that nic is an appetite suppressant, a metabolic booster and it also decreases testosterone to estrogen conversion(resulting in more T).

All of this said, we have to really really, I mean REALLY understand that those benefits decrease with tolerance. Breaks are critical to maintain an positive balance. Using nic all day everyday is not a smart thing to do, especially in the long therm.

The method of administration matters to. Inhaling an emission deep into one’s lungs does the most side damage and the sharpest increase in stress hormones. The nasal route is one of the least damaging, maybe the dermal route being less damaging.

On a personal note, I don’t like non-tabacco nicotine products. I used some nic gum in the past and vapes, and they made jittery, just like when consuming too much coffee on an empty stomach. Tabacco has other alkaloids besides nicotine , forming an cocktail that give more balanced effects, at least for me.

Drawing a parallel, cancer drugs are designed to combat cancer, yet it wouldn’t be considered a healthy choice to take them without a cancer diagnosis. Similarly, while nicotine might have its merits for specific health conditions, I don’t personally experience any of the problems on your list. Thus, my use of tobacco/nicotine could potentially be more detrimental than beneficial.

On the subject of cognition & ADHD

I work in the tech sector and the use of nootropics is rampant - I also have ADHD and score across a few other ASD traits (most people do though, to be honest).
I find my nicotine use, especially (now exclusively) snuff, to be very beneficial - especially when working closely with others (no complaints about smoke smells).
Compared to many other products which claim to boost cognitive performance, nicotine has to be the most noticeable - so much so that a number of my colleagues have been helping themselves, some who have (allegedly) never used nicotine before.

However, as the others have said, it’s bound to be personally subjective and anyone dabbling with nicotine for the benefits would do well to listen to their body.

Agreed totally.
And a person at the end of the day needs to do their research and know their body and circumstance.

For me I find it with much more pros and little cons. I’ve vaped over 10 yrs heavy past few ( I use only Clean Pharma food grade, locally made vape juice. What you’re actually vaping is important.
I’d never just buy and use whatever random ejuice from the store)
anyways , I’m happy I found snuff recently!
Only few weeks ago!
Really like it. And hardly vape much anymore. (Not trying not too, just is what it is and I’m enjoying snuff :partying_face::nose::hourglass::person_shrugging:t2::sweat_smile:)
