I know the Posh is discussed elsewhere on this forum, but the subject is a bit different. I’ve had my posh for about a year and it has worked flawlessly until today. The screw won’t work any longer. I’ve always taken the suggested precautions of covering the hole with the screw while filling it but it just stopped working today. I know people have experienced this before, based on the other posts, but has anyone figured out how to repair it? Do they have warranties? I bought mine from Mr. Snuff. Thanks
If its de-threaded there’s no repair possible. Might be worth checking if its old compacted snuff thats slowly built up. Try soaking in very hot soapy water. The bullet not you, and seeing if you can fish out any snuff. There’s so little to go wrong it must be snuff build up or you’ve just stripped the thread. The best metal ones are the ones that Toque etc sell as they have a screw in disc shaped base.
If snuff hasn’t clogged the hole then if the screw is stripped you need to find a similar sized screw to fit, if the hole is stripped you need to tap some new threads and find a screw that will fit the new threads. Either way if its stripped I think its a waste of time and energy and your better off just getting a new one.
if the screw is loose, you can wrap it with some teflon tape and it will tighten it up…might keep ya going for a while.
Thanks, all. I hate that the Posh is touted as the new wave in snuff transport and delivery and then it fails like this. Do you think the glass/acrylic Bullets of the Toque style are better than the metal, similar style non-toque bullets?
Yep. Tried em all and I think the best are actually the Dholakia type bullets with the softer body and hard acrylic head. You can also pare the dose chamber out a touch with a craft knife or some such to increase the dose. Better still, buy a snuff box. Said it before, but bullets are a good idea that just don’t work very well.
Alright…I’ve held it in long enough!!! snuffster, your new avatar is really creeping me out…lol!!!
I think it means that he’s always watching us… Someone used to have a moving eyeball avatar, THAT one was creepy!
Mwwhahhahh!!! I thought it was prettier than the picture of my real self.
