So, I was so happy to get my neat cute little posh brass bullet., but I’ve had one problem after another with it. First off, is how hard is it to screw that screw in, jeese…It seems as though it shouldn’t be this hard. I end up bending the screw driver on my little pocket knife. And it was like that from the start,–the threads are clean, inside and out, as far as I can tell,…I just put a piece of wax over the hole when I’m filling it, but that brings me to the next problem I have with it, which is, it leaks. it turns to easy, and maybe bouncing around in my pocket it turns and exposes the hole, I havn’t quite figured that out yet… but all i know is when I pull it out it’s all dusted with snuff. I have wondered if it might shouldn’t get tighter, and maybe this one is a little defective somehow.
secret they work for snuff but they’re really designed for cocaine. Which isn’t as powdery and hopefully isn’t being used as frequentily.
Yeah, bullets I really think are more trouble than they’re worth. They seem like a good idea, especially to newbies, but they don’t deliver enough, deliver it to the wrong part of the nose, and are overall just to temperamental and fiddly. I gave up on them long ago.
I like them only in rain and high winds. They’re good for that.

No disrespect meant, but is it possible you have cross threaded it? That would explain the leaking and the stiffness screwing in and out. It’s easy to do. Just a thought.
I have one that can be thought of as a blessing and a curse. It is kind of discreet and easy to use. I have trouble with keeping the snuff out of the female connector when I am filling it, so tend to put my finger over the hole. The opening for the chanber is relatively small so it is best to have a fairly large capacity snuff spoon to do the honors. If the snuff is moist it sort of clogs the mechanism, if it is really dry like a scotch, it tends to leak as you have noted. Does best, like Goldilocks, when it is ‘just right’. Sort of a medium grind with some moisture. The other complaint I have is their relatively low capacity. That said, I like these bullets WAY better than the acrylic or cheap metal ones. Just more versatile and reliable as long as you put the right snuf in it. CHEERS!!!
The only one I ever found that was any good was the cheap metal type sold by Toque et al, but only with something like Dholakia white, because anything of a coarser, moist nature just clumps together and blocks it . The doses are pitiful even if you double or treble dose. Xander’s right - new users aren’t taking that much so they seem ok, but when you use 10g a day they are just a waste of time. Good idea, lousy in practice. I threw my posh away - literally, lobbed the damn thing.
plus if you drop the clear plastic ones it’s a few bucks no big deal. They’re easy to fill. And my favorite part you can see how much you have left. Having said that the posh seems to be something people feel strongily about. Either people feel strongily disapointed or they feel strongily that it’s the bestest bullet and they love it. A lot of the people that like it is they like the weight and feel and that once they get how to work it they say it works better or at least as good as the plastic ones.
Bullets are a bit fiddlely but I will carry one at times. Rarely will I put my nose to it and sniff as intended cause it is too easy to blow your head of this way. Did this the other day with 6Photo No.666 , snuffed too hard and it felt like I got punched in the face. So usually I will tap it out and then pinch it. The acrylics do keep the snuff fresh and you can see how much you have and the are quite cheap from Toque. Not perfect but they do the trick in a pinch.

I have found the same thing. Even some of the easier to use snuffs set my scalp on fire out of a bullet, the Posh being the worst of them. I still love my Posh, and for the tap 'n sniff they are entirely awesome. Mine gave me fits at first, but with some usage it seemed to learn how to behave itself. I’m not sure if it was filling technique or dumb luck. I did learn to keep snuff entirely out of the threads or the thing was a nightmare. Also, I assembled it wrong one time and didn’t have the rubber gasket between the screw head and base. That didn’t turn out too well.

I see what you did there.

It is best to use a screwdriver that the groove perfectly in both width and thickness and the tighter the screw the tighter the turning mechanism will be, I argee though they are a pain in the arse.
I found the best way to use a bullet is have it angle towards the tip of your nose with the bullet being almost horizontal
You have to put the screw in when filling, then take it out and replace the bottom. Bullets are more trouble then they are worth. Get a snuffhouse.org snuff box or Ten. Move up to a spoon then back hand and pinch and settle at the boxcar and pinch then spoon and back to boxcar, pinch again you get the picture ditch the bullet! Work on a technique that is enjoyable to you. Some snuffs get pinched some get spooned most of mine go in the boxcar; However you get the snuff in the nose is the final goal and is entirely up to you. I know I have some bullets around somewhere I should e-bay them and make a dollar.
I don’t put the screw in when I’m filling. I usually just fill it as neatly as I can, then put the bottom on and tap it on my desk to get the stuff out of the screw hole. The screw tends to go in like a champ after that. I still don’t use it much though, I do prefer other methods.

That sounds like a good method.
i didn’t like posh bullet and sold it on ebay. Snuffboxes are perfect for snuffs. Best way is pinching.
