well well… i just took the first sniff out of a freshly open box of OZONA Anis and i have to say that it is like a menthol snuff without menthol and anis instead. if anyone of you guys looking for a strong anis blast, get this one. just imagine the way Pöschl normally spices the snuff with menthol, this time it is anis. on a sitenote, i am still, after sniff number two, not sure what to think about it.
“if anyone of you guys looking for a strong anis blast, get this one.” I read that just a little, tiny bit wrong…that can make for some serious chuckles.
LMAO!
@Dogwalla As you already know, no native english speaker. Sorry, if i did express something wrong here.
Its anise, anis sounds a little to much like anus
@n9inchnails XD i see - thank you. it is Anis in german and it´s writen like this on the tin
God I love posts like that . ANUS BLAST! I’m sorry. Poschl does make some good snuffs. Is Anise like Menthol? Like do they have a similar “feeling”, like camphor…? And by the way, Prismaster, you come about it honestly. You do very well for not being a native speaker of English. Apparently it is the hardest language to learn. You also seem like a very intelligent chap! EDIT : Now that I think about it, I’m sure there are harder languages to learn… Like Sanskrit lol…
Anethole has no menthol but apparently does have trans-para-methoxyphenylpropene. Ozona Anis does.
So, it is similar to menthol…? Or has a similar feeling in the nose…?
@MikeMoose Well, the funny thing is…NO!
@MikeMoose Thank you for the kind words! I do my best not to rape your language. Anyway, on the topic i have to say YES and NO. It has, as menthol snuffs, this dominant taste (of anise) but the effect isnt the same - of course. You can clearly say that this snuff is the same as menthols in terms of concept. Tobacco base, but you cant taste the tobacco that much and over it a powerful blast of anise. I am not sure if i like it or not. Last days i didnt touch it at all. Mh…
@ Prismaster, your correct it is Anis on the box. No one would make fun of anyone writing on this board when English is not their first language. It was your sentance:- "if anyone of you guys looking for a strong anis blast, get this one. " that had me rolling.
Indeed, it had nothing to do with your command of the English language (I had no idea you weren’t a native speaker), it was entirely due to that one sentence and it’s similarity to something funny enough to make my stomach hurt from laughter. I still giggle when I read that sentence.
There was absolutly no bad blood from my side either. Actually, now that i get the joke, i totally see the point. I mean, really… anus blast XD OMG!!
LOL ok sorry @Juxta , I really couldn’t tell from your post EDIT : @Prismaster : Honestly man, when you rape “our” language, it is really not that bad, sometimes it can actually be pretty funny! No offence. LMAO ! I am glad you find it humorous as well
Ozona Anis actually does have menthol in it. I’m not a great lover of anise snuffs, but this one is well balanced. Certainly has less menthol than WoS Aniseed Extra.
Yeah there is this Pöschl-ish hint of menthol, like present to some extend in all their snuffs. Anyway, it is rather weak in this one and the anise get´s not dominated by it. At least imho.
It’s just great! one of my favourites! We, Hungarians, have the same flavour in a candy called: Negro! mind = blown!
“if anyone of you guys looking for a strong anis blast, get this one.” I read that just a little, tiny bit wrong…that can make for some serious chuckles.
I can hear one of my red-neck relatives shouting " You’re sniffin’ WHO’S ANUS ? Who’s Poshel Ozona ?"
I know this is an old post, but no one actually said what anise smells like. It smells like licorice and the Italian cookie called Pizzelles. Very nice winter smell when walking outside…Bruce
Haven’t tried Poschl anis; but I do like Dholakia Aniseed menthol well balanced and great nic hit. @IronMustache Welcome Bruce! <:-P
