Poschl Grado

B

I adore coffee snuff, But I am not a big fan of Poschl with their use of menthol. Has anyone tryed this ? And please tell me it non menthol.

B

I’ve heard it’s minty.

U

I have tried it, and yes, it has some menthol. Not the usual pöschl dose, but some. It’s a nice snuff, but I for coffee snuff still go with SG Black Coffee.

L

I am waiting for some to arrive in the post

L

Well it arrived today. Its got a bit of menthol in. To me its a bit more like chocolate coffee mint. I thought it would have a bit more of a coffee kick, but its very mild. It is like inhaling a chocolate coffee mint ( think elizabeth shaw or after eights) . I will definitely be looking for a stronger coffee snuff soon though. Its sweet, mild coffee with a minty element.

W

Thanks for posting this, I was wondering about the menthol, and can picture this one now thanks to your feedback.

K

Is Mr.Snuff the only place where it is available?

U

@Kaiser_Wilhelm: You can get it also from sunffstore.de. In my town even the tobaaconist at the train station has some on the desk ;-)) Seems that Poeschl tries to make it as popular as the Gletscherprise.

I think that Poschl wants to get the attention of the younger snuff-taking community or they are trying to get new consumers of snuff. Grado is an easy to take snuff, has a soft, delicate coffee aroma - and that’s all. For me it actually is a irish coffee snuff with a little bit of menthol, which won’t get to much attention from experienced and demanding consumers.

I might be able to help with some seriously coffee flavoured snuff in the not too distant future. And it won’t have menthol or mint in it.

@basement_shaman Dave Anderson deals with the ordering side and I believe he tried something like it before but it proved difficult to manage because I only make very small batches compared to the big companies. 2013 should see me moving to bigger premises with a larger production which will hopefully mean all of the range is available all of the time.

B

@basement_shaman that’s one of the funniest shows of all times. Even the basic premise is funny.
