Some polish snuff retailer hit the market a while ago in romania. They sell poschl snuff imported from pl to ro.Can you give me some information about konigsprise and Ozona c-type?
Regarding C-type:Have you ever seen this snuff in the 10g tap tins?
And konigsprise:Do you still know if it is still made?
Those are the main questions.Of course, any review and/or advice about those snuff and other poschl snuffs is apreciated!
I’ve seen Ozonas in such packaging. Not only the cherry one, but also the spearmint version. When it comes to non-standard packaging, I remember that there used to be 7 gram Ozonas on the Ukrainian market.
As for Konigsprise, it can be said that it is a kind of snuff dedicated to the Polish market. Quite a standard Poschl procedure, because history knows many countries that had a dedicated snuff - for example, for Switzerland there is Ozona Anis, and formerly for the American market there was Chief Bull. As for “king’s snuff”, it is a camphor halb-schmalzler. In fact, the same snuff was given to Italians and Russians (only there under the name Santa Caterina - Red).
Santa Caterina Red and Konigsprise are two different snuffs, @Filek. I’m quite fond of the latter, and the former I didn’t enjoy that much. One of the more interesting Poschl snuffs to me, only a bit clogging, when overindulged. I might be smelling things, but I dear to say K is topped with juniper. St Cat is camphor-free (or present in amount too small for my conk to register; although not mentioned among the ingredients in Italian datasheets, might hide under the non-dislosed aromi).
Ozona Anis was also sold in Italy.
Besides Poland and Ukraine, some Ozonas in plastic boxes were (and probably still are, if Poschl haven’t retreated) sold in Russia, too.
Am I alone wondering what Poschl snuffs from Poland’s market are doing in Romania?
I’m not aware if Poschl still produce K, but judging by its abundancy on Polish online stores alone I would expect it to be the case.
I really hope they are still making it.
You can reach out to Poschl using their online Contact form and find all out - their customer service is pretty decent.
I once wrote to Poschl about the French La Prize and got the reply that it was the same as Konigsprise and Santa Caterina. I also had the impression (and I also had the same with Gawith vs Johnny, or Harvards vs Ozona English) that these were different snuffs, but apparently the differences are due to the batch of production.
every country with their dedicated snuff ,what an utopia would be!:)))
look at all of them: Oferta completa Tutun, trabucuri si tigari de foi Poschl Tabak Gawith Ozona President vandute de Tabax - eMAG.ro
15,it used to include konigs as well.good pricing. In ro i heard that is pretty hard to get orders from other countries if it has tabacco.
it is illegal to buy from outside the country, and the frontier police are pretty busy, let’s say it like this. The seller has to pay VAT to the ro state in order to import.I never tried to order from toque or mr snuff,i may try to do so in the future. But for the time being, this seller is a gem.
If you can take a look at the selection, which snuffs would you recomend? All snuff i tried so far(those in the picture and gawith original + lowenprise) are a real treat!I love to rotate them when i use snuff
Does snuff have recognition in ua?
These dedicated snuffs, as I mentioned above, in most cases there are only rebranded versions of all well known ones. Utopia maybe, but mainly for the collector.
Unfortunately, I don’t have much knowledge about snuff in Ukraine. Talking about it with my friends from this country, they have never encountered it. Anyway, I have heard and seen only two Ozonas intended for this market, so it does not indicate a great interest on a national scale.
Once I made maybe two purchases on the Polish version of eMAG, but they didn’t sell tobacco there
