Hey guys I’m sure this is a noob question but what are the points that I see on some of your guys profiles?
There was an old version of Snuffhouse that went down. Luckily, it was resurrected with most of the information in tact, but the current Snuffhouse doesn’t have all the same functions that it used to - such as points.
It’s all before my time, but that’s what I’ve gathered. I’m sure a veteran could offer a better explanation, but here’s a response in the meanwhile.

In the older Snuffhouse site, they had buttons for like, agree, and insightful. Anytime another reader clicked one of those on your comment or post, you got a point. On the sidebar, there was a link to bring up the top commenter/posters of the week and all time, and this was based on points received. The database and all past posts were transferred to a new host, but the apps that supported the point system failed to come over, so the points are now a relic.

Ohh OK I figured it was something like that. The more posts the more likes something along that lines. Cool thanks for answering.
Points or the point of points were an ego diving machine. It encouraged well thought out discussions and answers, on the down side was members liking products like What is in your nose? although it did give recognition to the most popular snuffs in the best of category.
I like reading over older threads there was plenty of heart and soul that is lacking today and plenty of comradery that made snuffhouse a great place to hang out and relax.
@basement_shaman wow that must have been awesome. I can hardy imagine it being better than it is. I’m new around here, but already this forum is easily the nicest, most helpful I’ve ever been a member of. You guys have really helped me ease into my new habit-- err, hobby-- with ease. Being the only person I know that takes snuff IRL, Snuffhouse has been a great experience for me. =)
@SHbickel I have only been here 4 or 5 short years I seen thousand join and seen them disappear. A few I thought were very devoted to snuffhouse ,the type that wanted to shout from rooftops the enjoyment they were having. At last they were just like candles burning their wicks from both ends very brightly and then gone. I do hope you make plenty of friendships and keep in touch anyway possible. Your journey has just begun.
