Please, recommend snuffs which are: coarse/medium moist/medium smokey / chocolate / light menthol or aniseed / dried fruits / floral It is apparent I am fascinated with smalzlers and coarse, easy to use pieces (for now). Now I am addicted to Bernard’s Brasil doppelt-fermentiert and Alt Offenbacher and want to try something similar (it could be great to have a machine like last.fm but for snuff ) Thanks in advance!
Samuel Gawith Kendal Brown Original is mostly smoky tobacco with light bergamot scenting. I believe they actually throw bergamot peels in the mill, I can see little orange specks that aren’t tobacco and aren’t salt. Viking Dark is smoky tobacco with a walnut aroma, though it’s not scented, just plain. Neither of them are anything like schmalzers but if you’re at all into plainer snuffs you can’t go wrong with either. Both coarse and moist.
Molens latakia AO 1860, SG Scotch Black for smoky.
Mull of Oa By Sir Walter Scott
SG London Brown, SG Chocolate, Sg Black Rappee, SG Cob Dark, SG Lavender Dark, Abraxas Premium coarse, WoS Best Dark, WoS Brunswick, any of the Princes from SG or WoS or F&T (except Princes Gold), F&T Santo Domingo, Swisher Maccoboy. There are also plenty more German ones to explore, such as Bernard’s Gekachelter Virginie Dunkel, Offenbacher Cardinal and the schmalzlers from Sternecker. That should be enough to get you started, and I agree with the above suggestions as well. Not sure of any coarse dark aniseed ones besides Pöschl, but there are plenty of fine grain ones.
Bergamot oranges are yellow. Viking Anise would be awesome! As for suggestions I would say that you should certainly try all of the Bernard snuffs.

Wow, that’s a list of my favorite snuffs.
Thanks, it sounds great!
