Please advise me

Next year (not long away now) I want to try a lot of different snuffs. I would love some advice from fellow snuffers on what they would recommend I try. Below are snuffs I like and from that you can get an idea as to what I should try: Viking Dark TAXI Red Fribourg & Treyer Old Paris Fribourg & Treyer Santo Domingo Samuel Gawith London Brown NTSU Black Viking Thor’s Hammer You get the idea. Looking forward to your advice.

Viking Blond SWS Creme de Figue F&T Princes Makla Neffa Ifrikia Dean Swift Black Watch Bernard Feinster Kownoer

Sounds like you’re more into medium grind, moister snuffs, but a man with your excellent taste might enjoy HDT. Dryer and finer than the ones on your list, but the same emphasis on good tobacco.

Ah, scratch that. I remember another thread where you said you weren’t crazy about fine dry. Viking Dark, then.

Just drop a line to @chefdaniel over at Old Mill Snuffs. He will work with you on finding just the right thing. not only does he make fabulous snuffs with a true chef’s flourish, he is a genuinely good guy that wants people to enjoy their snuff journey…

Thanks, have sent message.

Looking at your tastes, I don’t think you can go wrong with Viking Dark.

SG Black Coffee

You know I meant to put Viking Dark not Viking Brown on the list.

You’re a man after my own heart. SG Scotch Black SG Black Rappee (to me it is distinct from london brown though closely related) Viking spear (very subtle spearmint over good KB base) If you want to get a little floral: SG Grousemoor SG Princes dark (mostly smoky leather base with floral highlight) Hope I’ve been of some small assistance.

Ah, if there were a snuff with the smell of Black Rappee but a finer grind, it will surely be the best snuff on Earth!

SG Firedance is excellent.

Well I’m a bit frightened of the mighty White Elephant, as it is so extremely fine (from reviews I’ve seen). I’m not big on the toast, they taste great but again too fine. Viking Peach, well I think I’ll try the Viking Blond first. The old L260 for me was impossible to take. Now with regards to The Old Mill Snuff, I’ve got three on order and looking forward to trying them!

F&T French Carotte SWS Mull of Oa SWS Moro Moro

I have some F&T French Carotte, don’t like it. The other two sound interesting.

@ausDave‌ the om line is top shelf I love his slections, but replying to my post Viking blonde is very Nice It’s like a f&T hdt but more moist, so it will be great for you. and you can also try the Toque lines, they are very Nice. I have come to adore the almond toast It’s buttery, nutty flavor with an oily after scent and Not very toasty. Also you might like Elmo’s reserve it you like vanilla scent it is great. Or I can also recommend wos Tom Buck if you like citrus. HAPPY SNUFFING! P.S. this process is trial and error That’s the only way you will find out what you truly like. I hated the toasts and scotches when I first started now I can’t get enough!

At least one Bernard Schmalzler. There is a lot more F&Ts, I don’t know how many you’ve tried. I don’t see any Indian snuffs on your list, you might want to start with 6 Photo Kailash and 6 Photo Special. The South African snuffs I’ve tried: NTSU Green and one of the Taxi blends have an essence of ammonia that you will either love or hate.

And those two are coarse grind, so you may get on with them. Mull of Oa is a materpiece, peat smoke & Lagavulin Whisky. Moo Moro is more of a naturally sweet tobacco snuff velvety smooth.

Peat Smoke, Lagavulin Whisky! You’ve got me listening. Sounds like the Moro Moro is interesting too.
