Perique

J

My apologies if this has already been raised as a topic, but can anyone tell me where I might purchase some Perique tobacco leaves ?

N

http://www.smokingpipes.com/tobacco/by-maker/cornell-diehl/bulk/moreinfo.cfm?product\\_id=79416 You can get perique here, at 27 bucks a pound you won’t find it cheaper than that. If you wanted whole leaf perique thats just not possible because of the way perique is made.

J

Thankyou for this n9inchnails.

Does anyone have a source in the UK ?

T

Black swan shoppe in scarborough do it:

Thank you Talljim.

Be interesting to see what snuff can be made from some.

T

I was thinking along the same lines myself.

It would be good to compare our endeavours !

Presumably one would be able to acquire some direct from G H.

First job after the festivities.

Have tried N Rustica with reasonable success, but will be interesting to see if Perique has better flavour.

Anon !

As a Scarborough resident, I’ll get it at the black swan shoppe! But I intend to have a go. Also, support the independent tobacconists!

I’ve actually had some wholeleaf perique. It was from a group buy direct from from Percy Martin. Not available anymore, I think.

I tried to grind it to snuff, but i remember it didn’t work so well. Perhaps it wasn’t dry enough.
