Hello, Does anybody know where to find this stuff on the very fancy “top 25 snufflist” --Member’s creation The Paul Gotard Blackberry really caught my eye, and Harvard, well I like the name.

S

Oh, I can see it now: The Super Motard Paul Gotard Blackberry Patch Snuff! With a degree from Harvard!

T

I see Snuff Store just got a slew of Paul Gotard snuffs, and I could not find them on Snuff Reviews. I am not familiar with this brand, anyone tried these? I am curious. Thanks.

S

tom502: that’s in my mailbox! as well as some schmalzlers Coincidences you know. I look yesterday and, well… Mr. Tim’s on it.

D

I have heard that the Paul Gotard snuffs are no polish snuffs. They assume that its made by a french company in the dominican republic ?! the quality of the snuff is said to be good…

D

…Yes Paul Gotard is listed as a french company at www.top25snuff.comI have ordered some tins to give it a try…

J

Strange site. I think their lists must be like all time because I don’t know most of the brands and some are out of production.

X

@ Jarhog: It says right at the top of the page: _This section contains the list of the snuffs of all time. Most of the list is occupied by the snuffs which are no longer produced and the companies which don’t exist anymore._Hopefully as this vertibale enclyclopedia of snuff grows, it will show which ones are now defunct or have transferred to another company. Hats off to Filek for all the research. He’s done a heculean task thus far.

D

I have tried four of the Paul Gotard snuffs now, here my first impression: Paul Gotard Lemon… a little less flavoured than Wilsons Lemon Grove and therefore a bit better to my taste, but very similar… is this realy not made by Wilsons ? Anyways very good snuff… Paul Gotard Strawberry: Chocolaty with a nice strawberry flavor. Very nice english type snuff. I haven t tried Wilsons Strawberry yet, so i can t compare the two… Paul Gotard Fruit mix: This should be labeled Fruit menthol. Refreshing menthol attended by a fruity mixture. To much menthol for me, but not bad. Paul Gotard Coffee… This is very similar to Quitwithsnuff irish coffee… nice coffe flavor with a tang of menthol, very nice… b.t.w: seems the P.G snuffs doesn t have a lack of nicotine…

D

The other 2 I have: Paul Gotard Raspberry Snuff… actually Raspberry menthol. Beside the Raspberry, it is flavoured with a Packards Club similar flavour, (don t know what it is) this is also a good snuff… Paul Gotard Cherry Snuff: Should really be labeled Cherry menthol… To much menthol for me… I don t detect much cherry… but still a good snuff.

L

I ordered a couple of them the other day. I don’t remember which ones now.

S

Glad to see some reviews coming in on these. Anyone tried the Musketeers flavors yet? Not much description on them and very curious to know what exactly they are.

D

All in all good snuffs, you will not be disappointed… Maybe I m wrong, but I have the sense that these snuffs could possibly be made by WOS… or even by more than one Company… the coffee snuff is realy very similar to the Dholakia QWS Irish coffee, maybe with a little less menthol.

S

So what flavors are the Three Musketeers supposed to be? All I can see is Aramis, Atos, and Portos. Haven’t seen any other info on them yet.

S

That sounds like cologne and wine. Not sure what Atos is!

S

four business days from posting. thank you SnuffStore. Paul Blackberry - Not being an authority on different tobacco. I think it’s a good base. Malty tobacco effect from blackberry flavoring. Complementing each other. Paul Tangerine - veered effect of the tangerine flavoring against the tobacco in a different direction from above (lighter?). still complementary. getting tangerine at different points, like at first sniff, or later.

D

Yes, it has a very nice coffee flavor with a tang of menthol, very good snuff… almost identical to the Dholakia QWS Irish coffee, with a little less menthol.

S

Fruit Mix: This has too much menthol. Now I do like my menthol snuff first thing in the morning; see my later post on “What’s In Your Nose Thread” OK this is Fruit Mix it is quiet nice but it is shadowed by too much menthol. Only my verdict.

S

Re that post on “What’s In Your Nose”, as it is sinking fast "I’ve just tried equal portion mix of Hedges L260, Wilsons SM500 G H Zip and Mac’c Clove!! Oh! "

D

I agree, if I want much menthol I clearly prefer MC Chrystals O&G instead of P.G. cherry or fruit mix, after using it for 3 days i find this fruit/menthol mixture a bit artificial but, ok, still quite nice.

D

…well beside the fruit and the menthol i detect a third flavor… which reminds me of Packards Club… and I m one of the guys who don t like this snuff much…

S

I haven’t yet had them yet, but I’ve got three PG’s coming from the UK snuff shop: Black Knight Iceberg Menthol Strong I can’t wait to give them a try

E

Hmmm… on trying my sample of the QWS Sandal Wood I had the feeling that I had tried this one before, but I hadn’t. Then it struck me - it’s pretty well identical to the Paul Gotard Sandal Tree. Same colour, same grind, same taste. So, could it possibly be Dholakia who makes the Paul Gotard snuffs?

C

Well, wouldn’t that be interesting! I’m dying to know!

C

Tony: Are there any packaging similarities?

E

No, not all. The Paul Gotard snuffs come in a 10g circular metal tin of different design to the Wilson’s/McChrystal’s/Sam Gawith ones whereas the QWS snuffs all seem to come in 10g round plastic pots. It’s just the snuff itself which seems so similar. I’d love to hear other people’s thoughts on this one.

C

Perhaps Dholakia makes the snuff and ships it to PG, where it is packaged? This has me really curious!

E

Me too!

T

Is the sandalwood the only one that is seemingly identical?

E

It’s the only Paul Gotard I have so I don’t know I’m afraid.

T

I mean just that one flavor?

D

Paul Gotard Coffee and QWS Irish coffee are also seemingly identical… but very good snuff, my Pg coffe tin is empty now.

C

And the plot thickens!

R

http://www.faja.com.pl Talked at the InterTabac to the head of the company “Synchro”, Pawel, who told me it was produced by a french company before… whichever that may be… but now being produced in Poland. Tried their “Ganges” snuff there as well, which is quite similar to the Dholakia White in taste and nicotine and grind and colour and everything, but much easier to take.

I

Has anyone else noted the remarkable resemblance between the tin logo and Al Pacino as Shylock in the 2004 “Merchant of Venice”

X

Uncanny!

C

Not so much uncanny as it is… Al Pacino. Something tells me that’s a bit illegal.

C

For ease of viewing:

B

maybe the real paul gottard is al pacino??? Time travel anyone???

B

Well I have another theory. I think that perhaps Al Pacino is a snuffer and he decided to make his own snuffs. He’s got enough money to start a business on his own so he makes snuff under the name of Paul Gotard and because of lack of a company’s logo he’s used his own face to put on tins and he hoped that no one would find out. But why is he putting that Polish health warning on his tins is a question I still didn’t find an answer for.

J

Heh, good call! Quite a blunder, I’d say.

I

cstokes 4, Thank you for posting the pictures - as I said in a previous post my idea of hi-tech is a doorknob! Incidentally, I do hope that I have not dropped Paul Gotard in the ooh-aah over this, but it does seem a bit cheeky!

S

Good catch! Love this community. lmao

T

Who sells the Paul Gotard snuffs? I am maybe slightly interested in some.

C

Snuff Store UK is the only one I have seen.

T

Thanks.

X

Snuff Store UK is out of most varieties. You might be able to order from Poland. There are some links at Top25snuff.

S

I’m picturing Al Pacino in that scene from Scarface when he buries his face in the pile of cocaine, only its a big heap of snuff instead. “Say hello to my little friend!”
