I have been using parafilm to seal my bulk bottles and tins for some time now.

It is a non sticky tape that amalgamates into itself after a short time once it has been applied.  It is used in laboratories for all sorts of sealing jobs on test tubes petri dishes etc.

The good thing about it is it does not leave a sticky residue the way that electrical tape or sellotape does once removed, stickiness and fine snuff are a complete mess.

I was given a huge roll of the stuff by a friend that was having a clear out.

I have looked at the makers website and it seems to be moisture proof OK but can anybody tell me if it is airtight enough for preserving snuff?

The bit on their website about gasses etc. is over my head,  I haven’t a clue about chemistry.

Help please.        Is it airtight ?

Cheers.

Used it in a lab for years. If you have a good seal, there’s nothing to worry about. The only caution is that, as you might guess from the name, it’s very flammable.
