I have one that’s a matter of curiosity. I noticed packaging of snuff has a large variety… Of snuff packaging, what sort do you find convenient to carry on your person, and where (pants, shirt, jacket, etc)?

i go with snuff in tap-boxes, use my refillable plastic box or the Pöschel Automatikbox, all are fine for on the run. I use a bullet too and all small tins are fine for me when i am on the run.

Bullets for me. The variety of styles and colors keeps me knowing what’s in where. I’ll also re-label as needed. Also tap-boxes. Front trouser pocket, left side.

I find the small WoS tins surprisingly trustworthy, I often use them to carry snuff from bulk since I have a lot of them from my Wilson’s sampling days. In the two years or so I’ve been using snuff I’ve never had one open in my pocket.

For work, hard wood tap box (dowel), filled dailey, in upper left hand jacket pocket together with snuff hanky

PC box or original tin (WoS or Toque 10g) or smashbox, usually in lower waistcoat pockets, hanky in top left w/coat pocket.

Toque ten gram tin or Wilson’s five gram tin in the little change pocket of my jeans.

I’ve been using an empty NTSU plastic tin. They seal reasonably well and are bigger than a smashbox.

ALWAYS:PC Tripletech filled daily with a day’s worth of Tom Buck and with my @ddavelarsen -made custom brass spoon in it! And I always carry either a smashbox of Grand Cairo or: Occasionally: Heartwood snuffbox filled with Toque W&H or some other snuff. With another smashbox of course. I ALWAYS have my PC with TB in it though.

No, none at all!. I’ve used the smaller black smashboxes, but I like the bigger lip and tin of NTSU for my big clumbsy fingers. If anything, I had to keep like- scented snuffs in the same smashboxes…So sometimes they pick-up the stronger snuffs aroma, even after scrubbing (for me, that is) .

PC teak box with a scotch, and then a few tins of different snuffs. Carrying isn’t a big problem, I drive a desk for a living…

I love the toque tins. They dont leak any snuff at all. Bullets are convenient but I dont get a full flavour with them so I only put scotches/toasts in them. Keep the bullets in the shirt pocket and the tin and my smokes in the jacket pocket.

I had two tins in my pocket, once, and managed to slam said pocket in a car door. One was a Toque tin the other a small WoS type. The Toque tin bent, but stayed true while the other busted open and released its flowery contents into my pocket. Both types work great, though. I usually empty what I need into a snuff box, sometimes even from a ten gram tin.
